@@slickguitar5818 it literally did though. No way around that. Yeah bisping is talented but rockhold was easily the more talented guy on paper. But bisping was had dedication, hunger, toughness, work ethic. Natural talent isnt everything. Hell he also beat Anderson Silva, sure silva was past his prime but they both had been in the game around as long as each other and bisping outlasted him. Thats a big deal, especially when taken into account that while silva might had not been in his prime, bisping literally only had one eye. Im sorry but hardwork in this instance, 100 percent overcame talent

Bisping's life is such an incredible story. The brash kid with nothing to make himself feel proud about except fighting. He's brash and people root against him and laugh when he gets knocked out by Henderson. All the while he's a dedicated family man who fights to set his family up and it's what he knows and loves. Towards the end of his career people have gained respect for him because of his unquestionable toughness and start to root for him. He loses an eye after a fight, and then finally gets a title shot (on short notice) against a bigger, better-looking fighter that had already knocked him out. He's a huge underdog. But he catches Rockhold with a left and wins the belt and immediately motions to his family to join him in the octagon to share in the moment. SO inspiring.

Leading up to the fight, I really began to dislike Luke Rockhold because of his "Art holier than thou" vibe, which he mistakingly carried into the fight. I'm really glad Bisping caught him, then punched his face in. Well deserved on both ends of this fight. IMO
Great knock out of the day!

You can tell michaels experience after the first knockdown he paused and waited to land another good shot, then using his right to hold his chin up to land another left.

There's probably no man in the UFC who earned it like Mike did. Gave an eye, two knees, and several vertebra to the sport and didn't stop until he got the belt, and then defended it twice and lost it to the arguable GOAT - not many would have even taken that fight. By no means the most technical master in the sport but I don't think there's a harder man out there. This guy's life is a film waiting to happen.

Guys, he fought for SEVEN years with ONE eye in the hardest sport.
GSP beat him because his coach Firaz trained with Bisping for a week and found out about his eye.

Bisping has one of the best character arcs in the UFC. From coming in as that cocky prick and being humbled by Hendo, losing his eye to trt-tor and then maturing and winning ufc gold is just sweet man. All respect to him
