By the way, I reccomend getting a full editon instead of an abridged one.

From 7:00 onwards: Thank you!!! Was wondering what the second entry to a word stands for. Now I know that it is the genitive form, which comes in handy with third declension words. THANKS A BUNCH.
The LSJ (9th ed., 1940) can be freely accessed and searched online through the Perseus Digital Library, Logeion, and the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae. A PDF copy of the 8th ed. can be freely downloaded (legit) from Internet Archive. The latest print version, the 9th ed. with separate 1996 _Supp._ in the same volume, is freely available in PDF format from several online sources (legit?). The current version (1996 _Supp._ fully integrated into the 9th ed.), which only exists in digital form, can also be freely downloaded in PDF format online (legit?).
May one purchase the latest version?
@@christopherskipp1525, yes. You can buy the print edition from Amazon and other booksellers-it’ll be the ninth edition of 1940, with the 1996 _Supplement_ provided as an appendix. You can also buy the digital version, with the 1996 _Supplement_ fully integrated into the ninth edition, through Logos Bible Software.
@@Steve-hu9gw Thank you.

hi, important question - how is a strongs lexicon and greek lexicon comprised? is it similar to gematria, where a word value is added, for example say 12 in greek lexicon means government, what makes it #12?
Can i use modern greek to navigate and use my Thayer's? What's best for Thayer and New Testament? Ancient or Modern Greek?
I would venture ancient and/or koine Greek.
Porfavor poner subtítulos en español para saber lo que dicen los que no sabemos inglés, gracias
Now I know that a ship is a ship. I just learned a new word today. Thank you!
Amazon offers an abridged edition (Scott and Liddle Greek Lexicon) for $19.95. This is a paperback edtion and might not hold up well. Oh yes, it also has enlarged type.
I'm excited to dig deeper into the Greek text. Thanks so much for the video!
What if you don't care about Strong's concordance numbers?
Where may one buy one of these books; thank you very much.
Does every Greek lexicon list the stem of the word (besides its definition) or not?
Thank you so much, this was very helpful!
Loved that Lexicon. Oldie but goody
HOW TO BE SAVED
Trust Christ Alone
1. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. He was buried and rose again. He did this to give you the gift of eternal life.
2. We are saved by grace alone, Through faith alone in Christ alone without any works!
3. Once you’ve trusted Christ alone you are eternally secure
4. One saved always saved!
Romans 3:22 KJV
“even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference”
Romans 3:28 KJV
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”.
Romans 6:23 KJV
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
You are not related to Bob Wilkins are you?
Thank you, I have gained a lot from this.

Too many urgurments for gett it
Liddel and Scott only look at words and how they were used in ancient Greek writers outside of the New Testament, as you you have rightly said. It is not wise to promote it as THE greek lexicon to use alone for New Testament Studies.
Wrong. The LSJ includes all the words and usages of the NT _and_ the LXX fully integrated into its content. A quick glance at the front matter would have clarified that. Even the intermediate version includes all the words and usages of the NT. So stop waxing intellectual on matters about which you know nothing.
@@Steve-hu9gw What is the advanced version? Is the advanced version being discussed in this video or another version? Thank you.
@@christopherskipp1525, the video at the end discusses an older edition of the LSJ, unabridged. The current print edition provides the ninth edition of 1940, with the 1996 _Supplement_ provided as an appendix. It is available for purchase through Amazon and other booksellers. There is also a digital version, with the 1996 _Supplement_ fully integrated into the ninth edition, available for purchase through Logos Bible Software. You can find free but not quite legal PDF versions of both online, but you didn’t hear about it from me.
