Heya! I voiced Norgred and Gromm for this mod. I'm very glad you enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to the update myself. Hopefully the new update also includes some cleaned up dialogue audio.
I'm so glad I caught this video. I was wildly hyped for Olenveld when I first heard about the project 3-4 years ago. But as time went on, I had started to think the project had been abandoned or was simply never going to get the traction to reach a finished product. I probably wouldn't have heard about it's release if I hadnt caught this vid. I always hoped it'd be a part of my ultimate Skyrim playthrough as a lich, but had thought that was likely never happening. I'm definitely stoked to give it a play through.
Watched some compilation of WIP mods for Skyrim couple years back and this one seemed interesting, though I forgot what it was called. Glad to see it's finished now. Really excited for Skyblivion next year.
Creating a new character to explore large dlc sized mods is actually the way I prefer to play. I usually do 1-3 new characters and play throughs a year each with different mods installed. It's really fun that way, no two characters' stories are the same.
Maybe it's just me then, I just find it hard to actually invest into a character when we're getting spoilt with all these mods. But I suppose that's nothing to really complain about :)
What an achievement to create a mod of this size on your own. Kudos is the least people that play this can give. It will be going into my modlist once I iron out all my current conflicts and ini/toml/json settings.
Just finished playing through the mod last night… and wow. It’s already insane to have the dedication to work on this SOLO for 7 years, but the the land of Olenveld was breathtaking to explore
Perfect timing, been doing another playthrough of skyrim for months, finished most of the base game stuff and currently wrapping up unslaad. After that, I'm planning to add new quest mods one after the other, so this is going onto my list. Might wait for the fixes though. Ty for bringing it to my attention
Patching will most likely be minimal since it’s a completely new world space. :) Also the mod author only edited the area around Septimus Signus’ hideout. Though he is currently updating the mod(fixing bugs and so forth).
@@Home_RichThat's why I mever delete my mods lol idk why people would go through the tedius process of heavily modding the game just to delete it for space and have to redo it all.
I've played it for several hours, slain dozens and hundreds of necromancers and undead, I've yet to find a single inhabited settlement or interact with or find a single NPC. The terrain is rough, naturally inhibiting travel and movement, further exacerbated by numerous magical barriers requiring shattered soul gems from the Soul Cairn and keys to open. Support from the game interface is rudimentary at best.
Ok, respect. My one thought for mods like this, is that people should do as much as possible to flesh them out after release, especially in terms of replacing vanilla assets as much as possible. Enderal benefits greatly from this, i want it for other large scale mods.
As someone who plays a Necromancer that willingly worships/serves Hermaeus Mora, they're def gonna go over there seeking the Necromancer's secrets. Now we shall wait. o _ o
I'm about 3/4 through this now, and its very enjoyable. Act I was especially well put together, and very challenging at level 30, especially with wildcats, deadly conbat, CGO etc.. It definitely has a few issues, like a bad audio mix, which wouldnt be so bad, but there are no quest markers, and sometimes no quest log info.; but hopefully these things will be fixed in future updates. Very impressive that a single person can put this together, when entire teams cant even release pre-release content after a decade.
Why do so many videos introducing a quest mod fail to explain how/where to start? The mod page is vague about a "cabin" somewhere near Septimus Outpost. Not finding.

Im not deleting anything in my load order to play bards college, olenveld... Skyblivion, bruma, or any other huge mod or huge land mass added mod until bethesda increases the 5gb mod limit... Im not about to pick between this and the quality of life mods i use to enhance skyrim... Graphic packs alone take up the majority of the space. We're not even asking for a starfield 50gb mod limit increase just an extra 5gb to go with the original 5gb to make it 10gb... So we dont have to pick and choose and since i have to pick and choose i will always choose my quality of life mods... Olenveld is free but my point is based more towards the paid mods u cant even play with all your paid for mods because the limit is so small. They need to increase the mod limit.
