Thanks to Stephen Raisner for coming onto the podcast today! Potent Ponic’s channel- bit.ly/3LxNa7G Previous episode we did together- ruclips.net/video/VuvYAYbxRGo/видео.html
have you ever took a Poly hybrid tissue culture plant to those outdoor equatorial climates if so does the bugs eat on those plants aswell ?? @Potentponics
What a wealth of knowledge. Had me enthralled the entire time. It was really interesting hearing about Stephen's experiences from all over the place. Natural farming methods are the way of healthy sustainable agriculture in the future. Pesticides and herbicides are slowly killing us, harming the environment, and destroying biodiversity. I can't wait until these techniques become commonplace in large-scale agriculture. Fantastic episode!
That's the thing, they can't become commonplace since it's profit which drives agriculture. Even though wealthy people can afford to buy organic, most people can't, especially in highly populated countries like India and China.
Black lights at night to spot pests is so dang smart. Even just waiting for a full moon probably helps. Probably an ancient technique right there. Coming from experience in indoor commercial facilities it’s fascinating to hear techniques for farming outdoors. So many things you’d probably never think of indoors that could still be applicable.
Another banger Chris. Much appreciated. 1:00:45 Steve talking about age affecting mother plants, the same as it affects humans, was a beautifully simplistic analogy.
The thrips feeding only on the pistils is very interesting. I'm going to do an outdoor grow this year and I'm going to incorporate lots of Yarrow, Alyssum, Lavender, and Chamomile.
This episode takes growing cannabis to a whole new level. Really made me think about the whole thing in a different perspective. Thank you again Chris for another great episode.🤘🙂🌱
Great episode. So much knowledge. It's truly a pleasure just listening and learning. You're definitely correct about always more to learn. Thanks Chris and Stephen for sharing. Growers Love. Peace! Kenabyss DGC 🇨🇦
Shout out to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and South Africa 🇿🇦 that’s were I’m from and I’m showing some insane grows- there’s definitely really great strains here guys and we are glad to have been decriminalised 6 years ago🎉
Getting good genetics, absolutely 🔑 Environment, quality feed and water My plants are healthy. I lean on organic , living soil. Great results, minimal input. LST, some topping, and LST only, maybe scrog
This has so much info yet again thank you both for this I am open breeding panama red indoor in Illinois and was wondering how many generations it will take before it has changes in profile
I'm on my 2nd grow. 1st was just one plant Jack Hera, sativa dominant but compact broad leaf anyway. I grew it small and harvested early. This my 2nd grow I built living soil in a raised bed, then started GG #4 indoors for about 10 weeks then put it in the outdoor bed and let it get about 5foot with an outdoor light then switched it off. It's about 7ft now in early flower and omg I'm amazed. I had no idea I could grow this much product. East coast Australia just south of Sydney for reference
Hi has anybody talked about the lights off period? 50% of the plants life in flower is in the dark. So what temps based on studies should we aim for at night and why, the strange effects of having Higher night temps than day temps and how they might be beneficial, do we leave fans on, vents on, dehumidify, add heat or even AC during summer months through the night. Is there a lights off VPD? What about watering once during the night anything in that if theres a high temp low humidity environment for 12 hours during lights off.
Thanks for the bug and rice recipe, cannabis is a different crop altogether, you cant wash it and its smoked. It needs to be grown as organic as possible. I think people will have less trouble if they respect the plant a little more.
I was in Jamaica a couple years ago .... I met a Rasta who took me to Negril where they grew it wild ... We took back about a quarter lb to spread around at my resort . I don't remember what cultivar but we were all stoned .By the way , that weed only cost me $60 from the farmer...lol
I use bassilus aquaferus microbes. I grow rockwool dwc. Without a good microbiome its shit. But lol with it ,, top shelf diverse terp profiles, high potency. Beautiful frost. Smooth tastey smoke.
Black light works great finding bugs I’m ac technician I use black light and dye to find Freon leaks all the bugs caught in ac condenser glow with the black light never thought about checking my plants
Doesn't the fact that a gene can be latent in one plant and expressed in another lead one to believe there's a gene template for plants and each species is a variation of the template?
No. 1min 30 seconds of shoutouts in an hour long video is not too long. Most podcasts have 5. I only have 3. This is how it’s been for years. Skip if you don’t like them.
Possible is grow everything's, on this we know phenos , phenos is for your climate what grow best in your enviroment, genetic is what pheno have. Many not clear infos come from youtube . I hate this ideas cant doing this and this . One rule , just do . Then y can improve . And honestly all strains is the same basicaly have tolerance for hot on cold climate in early stages . Flower stages we know this exotic can grow suffescul in Iran maybe . Ach guys just language barier break me on explain last 25 years under market. 👍

I appreciate you highlighting women’s knowledge and importance in the industry!
GDP also revenges fairly easy and can be regrown after partial harvest 23:33
Life will find a way
touching on keeping motherplants people dont seem to think about doing self pollination and re-selection rather than long term cloning

Who in their right mind keeps a mother for two years…te clone every three or four months and put outdoors in real sun every summer …
This is an overtly serious career grower.
3 sponsors in the beginning of the video is too much.
