    What a wealth of knowledge. Had me enthralled the entire time. It was really interesting hearing about Stephen's experiences from all over the place. Natural farming methods are the way of healthy sustainable agriculture in the future. Pesticides and herbicides are slowly killing us, harming the environment, and destroying biodiversity. I can't wait until these techniques become commonplace in large-scale agriculture. Fantastic episode!

    • @letzte_maahsname
      @letzte_maahsname Месяц назад

      That's the thing, they can't become commonplace since it's profit which drives agriculture. Even though wealthy people can afford to buy organic, most people can't, especially in highly populated countries like India and China.

  • @Tonyisgaming
    @Tonyisgaming 10 месяцев назад +2

    Black lights at night to spot pests is so dang smart. Even just waiting for a full moon probably helps. Probably an ancient technique right there. Coming from experience in indoor commercial facilities it’s fascinating to hear techniques for farming outdoors. So many things you’d probably never think of indoors that could still be applicable.

    I'm on my 2nd grow. 1st was just one plant Jack Hera, sativa dominant but compact broad leaf anyway. I grew it small and harvested early.
    This my 2nd grow I built living soil in a raised bed, then started GG #4 indoors for about 10 weeks then put it in the outdoor bed and let it get about 5foot with an outdoor light then switched it off. It's about 7ft now in early flower and omg I'm amazed. I had no idea I could grow this much product. East coast Australia just south of Sydney for reference

    Hi has anybody talked about the lights off period? 50% of the plants life in flower is in the dark.
    So what temps based on studies should we aim for at night and why, the strange effects of having Higher night temps than day temps and how they might be beneficial, do we leave fans on, vents on, dehumidify, add heat or even AC during summer months through the night. Is there a lights off VPD? What about watering once during the night anything in that if theres a high temp low humidity environment for 12 hours during lights off.

    Thanks for the bug and rice recipe, cannabis is a different crop altogether, you cant wash it and its smoked. It needs to be grown as organic as possible. I think people will have less trouble if they respect the plant a little more.
