  • Just because you didn't capture the call setup doesn't mean you're out of luck. In this video I'll show you how to listen to a VoIP conversation without having to capture the initial call setup packets.

If you've ever tried to decode a VoIP call to listen to the conversation and you didn't capture the call setup, you could run into some problems. Here's a way to get around the issue.

    Hi @Skinny R&D
I got a question for you,
What if I got the sip packet in the Wireshark, but without "rtp packet",
which means I can see the conversation is actually exist like 15 seconds.(By Telephony VoipCalls)
I have tried your "udp packet decode solution", but it doesn't work.
How can I find the real rtp packet the position? I want to decode and play the original conversation.
If you have any idea, please let know, thank you so much.

The rtp packets could be encoded using something other than the standard ulaw or Alaw encoding scheme. If this is the case, you're out of luck.

hi sir, I got question for u, I've capturing my line calls and I no found any RTP in my wireshark so I followed u to decode the UDP to RTP, but it turns out to be named as RTP [Malformed packet] so when I open RTP streams,
I see no streams found in it. can u pls tell me what should I do?

      Is the RTP traffic encrypted?
