nice one i love watching your videos...
Thank you very much Clara!
Haha made me lol at the start. Great video again thanks
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you Mr. Bombal!
You're welcome :)
-Great content ... !!!
-Really as shown in the other previous videos all communication without encryption can be intercepted and easily decoded so it is important every network engineer has to know and take possible mitigation measures to avoid this.
-But I can't lie I watched the video analyzing how you simulated the topology and simulation of Cisco IP telephony.
-I understand that you used two windows appliances (or two virtual machines) and the Ip phone emulation programs on them to emulate Cisco phones.
-It's a great idea because there is no Cisco IP Phone appliance in the GNS3 community, but as I have little Ram for this on my machine to simulate two windows machines, then I started researching how on a simulated Linux machine on GNS3 (which uses less RAM to run) to emulate Cisco IP Phones.
-I found some things but nothing that runs like the machines roudou the windows but I will continue researching to set this up so when the Ip Phone Labs arrive at CCNA I can use this solution.
-Thank you so much for the knowledge ... !!!
Thank you, Eduardo! I really appreciate that :)
@@davidbombal from where I can get the details? which software to use? and how? I want to capture the traffic between two softphones
Your excellency
You have some excellent content.
Amazing how insecure networks, and the internet is. Thanks for showing these things.
This is SIP+RTP in real world scenairo no telecom company use this protocol this protocol where used in 90's
@@behindthewalls7476 i think servers of free voip services like vici dial and zoiper still use these .
Am I right?
Best Teacher
Thank you Admadzia!

Thank you. I have been a Cisco Instructor for many years :)
Good one
Thank you Muhammed!
Gr8 video David, so "SRTP" has to be used in order to avoid the capture?
Can we use ssl and tsl also here ?
@@omkhard1833 yes you can
Yes - you can use SRTP to encrypt the calls.
Teacher ❤️
Thank you!
Awesome😊👏 nice fabulous✨
Thank you
@@davidbombal sir what should we start first for beginners
@@KiranKumar-dw4vq Look at the CompTIA Security+ course - a good way to start.
@@davidbombal Thanks😊 sir
Great Video. Thanks. Can we use IOSv router to set up what you did? Can we encrypt voip call to mitigate this risk?
Thank you for your continued support Vyas. IOSv doesn't support CME unfortunately. I used an older 3725 image in this video. Yes - the way to stop this is to encrypt your calls using SRTP for example.
Osam video
Thank you
Let's assume someone is connected to my home wifi... And makes a call from it's phone to a friend... Can I use Wireshark to capture his data even when the data are encrypted or is calling from ISP provider calls and not from my connected wifi?
sir can we capture non VoIP(sim calls) call traffic in wireshark?
hey sir is that possible to capture a traffic mobile data phone? maybe this question is kinda weird but I'm curious
Neat
Hello david bombal, I am a student studying in computer engineering course. We were required to choose our path and I was put into "cyber security" path. I find myself struggling and having difficulties coping with the lab sessions. May I seek your advice on efficient ways to understand and handle my studies please? I dont seem to really understand my labs well enough.
Drop out and learn on your own.
❤️❤️
nice
Thank you!

good use full information make some firepower videos is more useful it made me learn more about Wireshark i have one question that is we have any method to encrypt voip traffic
Yes. You can use SRTP.
@@davidbombal thanks

Hiiiii......
Can u suggest me any book for wireless hacking?
hmm, I guess it's also possible to capture a SSL encrypted call, capture with wireshark and decrypt with the private key? hmm, bit where it shows the jitter and udp packets dropped is really useful, i didn't know it shows that.
Yes, you can use SRTP to encrypt the calls for example :)
SSL calls yes with private key (best is start capture reboot phone) tls 1.2 this trick no longer works
hi mr david bombal i was doing this trick but my voip calls is not showing up anything
