Very clear and helpful advice! Thank you! I personally think it’s not possible to copy other photographers. Depending on where you live the light is different, the buildings and the sky have different colours, the vegetation and even people look different. During the long winter the people are all bundled up and in hurry. Eye contact is unusual. Predominant cp,ours are brown and grey. Just because of that the images will not look like in the other parts of the world. What it’s important is to embrace your location with what it has to offer and find joy in the process of taking photos. The subjets have to look interesting to ourselves. To tell a story. Even without people in it the streets can offer something to ponder about, like the relation between nature and man made constructions. As somebody said (I’ve forgotten who), we should take photos about things rather than photos of things.

You be surprised how many copy or replicate others by going to same spots :) which is completely fine. Maybe less copy of famous photographers.
