I could listen to this good man, Fr. Paul Murray OP, all day. He's an erudite and deeply spiritual man and he also has a sense of humour. His knowledge of and respect for Thomas Aquinas is truly amazing. I never realised that Thomas Aquinas was such a fine poet and used his poetry to honour and show his profound love for God. His deep love for the Blessed Eucharist was truly moving and inspirational. Thank you Fr.Murray for bringing Thomas Aquinas' poetry to our attention. Fr. Paul Murray's words about prayer and our attempts to pray sincerely are very moving and encouraging. This wonderful talk he gave is well worth listening to.
I really love this talk, and especially your reading of the Pange Lingua. Carmelite prayer is so much just a conversation with God….not complicated or wordy, just offering one’s will to Him, and trying to embrace whatever He sends, not some great mystery!
