@@donfrancescosametti3438 You usually include the confirmation saint's name in your name too (at least in the US). Mine is Jude, after the patron of lost causes lol.
I very like St Caterine of Siena .And the town it self . When we were there and tried to get a photo of her head , we get just splash of light on the photo . A town with beatiful legends and ancient spirit
Thank you Father Barron I think I would definitely benefit from this book about this amazing saint. Please would you consider critiquing some of Maria Valtorta's work. The book of Azariah I think would blow you away (it's her angel explaining the liturgy of the Holy Mass on different Holy days through out the year) that's even before you read The Poem of The Man God, which there are no words to describe this gift from Our Lord. Please Bishop Barron consider reading it and don't dismiss it, you have read the work of atheists so please don't leave this world without making you're own mind up about Valtorta's work. Please even pray about it and I am sure the Holy Spirit will guide you one way or the other. Thank you and God bless you.
The fact that she gives the name of her angel is a big red flag for danger. We are *forbidden* to know the name of an angel, and the only reasons they have for revealing them are sinful i.e. pride. If an angel is sinful, it is a demon. 99% or more of visions are demonic. The Church as condemned her book and placed it on the Index of Forbidden books because it teaches heresy. It has been promoted by the notorious apostates of Medjugorje, which is a great reason to avoid it. It is a book of fake visions, endorsed by fake "visionaries", and condemned by the Church herself. Please be careful, lest you are ensnared by the same demon who inspired her.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I wonder if there is a movie about her. Lately I being watching movies of saints lives . I am fascinated by this holly people in our church
Would be interesting to read about how people dealt with there own suffering in centuries past, and what they learnt from it, within there own scope of the times they lived in.
I am intrigued by the notion that this publication makes reference to Carl Jung. The personal path to salvation through self knowledge can be found in the understanding of the psyche, but Carl Jung's "mathematics" of personality like the public face of the church can seem esoteric and impenetrable. When I speak to the mathematics of Carl Jung, I reference his 8 function model. And there is an intersection of knowledge that the church and theology educates in introverted feeling and extroverted feeling, perhaps citing Aquinas and Spinoza as primers in this area. The book Bishop Barron mentions certainly interests a lot. I hope you publish an ebook through Google Play and Kindle soon. The Saints are truly luminaries in what is important in the human soul.
Great info Father, but one question. I'm familar with Gung's 'shadow' concept. I've been reading 'The Dialogue'. I've had the impression that she was in direct communication with the Father, not the Son, nor the Holy Spirit. Now you suggest that there's something going on akin to Gung's 'shadow' concept. I know you were critiquing another writer. The Shadow is darkness, everything hidden from the light, repressed. Her dialogue was with God the Father. It was moving in the 'Dialogue' when He refers to her as, "Daughter". He speaks of His Son as a different and loved Soul. Anyway, thanks for talking about Catherine.
"The Romans have this uncivilized custom of not eating before 8 o'clock"? That's a sad statement from a Priest who keeps going back .. to Roma! Maybe you should revisit your own 'bad manners', "Fr" Barron??
St Catherine of Siena is my favorite saint because she drank a bowl full of cancerous pus and engaged in numerous other degrading activities to show her devotion to god.
Your help has been very precious to me as a researcher and preacher. I feel very grateful
Thanks You Saint Catherine Siena's!
My confirmation saint!! Can't wait to read the book! 🙏

Any idea when it will be available for sale to Ireland?
I would love to read this book...but as a missionary religious Sister in Peru, the chances of it arriving here by mail are slim 🙁

Why is arcibishop lower rank than bishop in hiearchy ?
I dont get it.
An archangel is higher than an angel.
temp911Luke An archbishop, in the hierarchy, is higher than a bishop.
an archrival is usually considered of the same ranking as the rival.
And the golden arches are the premier food restaurant
