Thank you for this intelligent and clear conversation. I am an English Secular Discalced Carmelite (OCDS), who has been a “fan” of St.Catherine of Siena, since being involved with a Domincan priest and nun in an English translation of her Letters, which was published under the title I CATHERINE in 1980 in the UK.. thank you for stressing the point that she loved and was totally loyal to the Church and Magisterium! I don’t think the term “tertiary Orders” was used in her day, and she was first a mantellata and then a Dominican. There were other mantellate in the Church besides Dominicans, I think. + i look forward to the second episode.
St. Catherine, please pray for us, for your Parish, your priests, and if you can, please pray for me.
Thanks so much for this clear and excellent discussion of a great and holy woman, St Catherine!
