Van Halen's first album was recorded in 77 and released in Feb 78. It's not like Eddie just decided to start tapping when they were recording their first album, he had perfected his style obviously and played it live way before they recorded. But it's not like he invented the one finger taping, and he never claimed he did, he new of others that did the same thing, but he created his style around it. Now for two handed tapping here's a vid of Vittorio Camardese from 1965. ruclips.net/video/UmTQYquqxSY/видео.html
close but no cigar............... on a brighter note this is in my eyes is the first recording of right hand tapping on the fretboard 2 years before Van Halen 1 ....... 1979 !!!!!!!!!
Leo Mota it's a red special, a model who Brian May play in various songs of Queen, including this song. This is obviusly not the original, but in Google you can buy a replic in the brand that May created to buy this type of guitars
Ana XD Haha, I absolutely knew this was Brian May's Red Special, but I refer what brand this is? This is not a "Brian May Guitars" guutar because I can't see the name on the headstock. Maybe it is a Guyton, or a Burns, or Guild, or an Ander May, etc... You get what I said?
love this cover probably one of my fav songs by them. jimmy page and brian may are huge influences for me
Beautiful! That's the real sound from your Red Special without much bleed from the backing track. What a brilliant song thanks to Brian.
Brilliantly done.
1977 right handed tapping 2 yr before Van Halen 1 album !!!!!!

@@guitar78ish True. But Brian himself said he got the tapping idea from watching Billy Gibbons playing in Texas one night.

You got the tone nailed down well there too 💪
Just Awesome.

Love this song! Great cover.
Sounds great!
Perfect work!
Keep on rockin' in the free world.
🤯👍🏻
Take a bow!!
Awesome
The guitar solo for this song did tapping before Van Halen made it famous.
Rick Derringer, before that, maybe also.
Bella cover!!!!!
Did you make that guitar together with your dad?
Do you use a five pence coin?
TAB for this?
If you google it the one that comes up is quite close to the real one

It's a replica made by Distefano guitars with Dansan pickups!
@@Maxeem79 do you have his contact details?
Perfect, well done!! What is your gear apart from Red Special (amp and effects)? Incredibly similar to May! Cheers!
Homemade treble booster, Tech21 Liverpool (used as overdrive),, Boss ce20, AC30VR, AC30cc2X
@@Maxeem79 Your neighbours must love you for your AC30 ^^
where you custom this guitar? and may i know how much for red special custom?))
The sound is broken
Good cover but your notes have a weaker sound. Try strumming it with more force and power specially on the chorus
Nice cover but... rushing. Not quite my tempo :P
Great job!
