- Are you going to get your package soon or have a queenless hive?
This video will show you how we install a queen into a queenless hive.
I would recommend this technique whenever installing a queen bee. Don't bother with hanging her in between frames. Don't risk her not getting fed or taken care of!
We place the queen bee in a benton box on top of the frames and let the bees tend her. We don't bother with making a candy plug. Come watch the video and see what we do!

We haven't purchased a package in a long time. What I can do is contact a local beekeeper buddy and see if he'll allow us to install one of his.
