I wrapped mine a few weeks ago. My buddy owns a shop who does this stuff and he let me play and learn. I actually took the whole console apart and we bench wrapped the cup holders and top piece but I did white and didn't want to see any edges. On black this looks super easy this video needed to be published a year ago for all of us lol. Enjoy your Te$la!
As usual, a great video Michael. I had my center console done when I had my entire Model 3 wrapped. The company I used is located in Thousand Oaks, California. They tinted all of the windows also. The center console was done free of charge because of all of the work performed. Sometimes it is better to have a professional do the work.
Looks good. I ordered the template from abstract ocean and I did mine matte black perfectly. I’m bringing a buddy to the meetup on Feb 3 who does Vinyl wraps in Miami and did my whole car. He does great work at the best prices.
Excellent video. Once my current wrap starts looking crappy I’m doing this method. Definitely easier than templates and a lot cheaper for DIY ers with some patience.
Great vid Michael! Been saying it since February 2018... get a pro to install it and don’t use templates! Guaranteed that if I was to look at cars that have used templates, it will not be perfect. #justsaynototemplates 😀
They actually do the center console for free - great marketing! You see the quality of their work and then hopefully use them on some of the bigger jobs like the wood trim, chrome delete, PPF, etc. I’ll ask and try to get a sense for what this would typically be charged at if they weren’t running a promo like that.
@@michaelrbodner Thanks since I'm in Reno and probably won't be near FL for awhile plus already have PPF. Guess I could call around my area including the place that did my PPF but just thought you may know from being there getting it done.
Yeah they’re supposed to be at Cars & Coffee. Cost - they’re running a promotion doing the center consoles for free. You get to see the quality of their work and then hopefully you’ll want to use them for the wood trim, chrome delete, PPF, tint, etc.

I would be willing to drive down from the Orlando area for this guy to wrap my console. Nicely done.
this is great work & great filming 🤝👍

Thanks for sharing this! I was just able to wrap my console using a roll of black brushed metallic successfully!
I have personally met Michael from "wrapmytesla" he is definitely the real deal and I recommend him
Fabulous video! Really inspiring for the DIYer.
Your Videos are done Super well man!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Looks great, now time to find a pro in my area that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do it. Looks so much easier than a templet.
He definitely makes it look easy, but no doubt doing this without the template removes the challenge of having to lay the material down perfectly.
That looked perfect.
I puckered every time he lit up that blow torch! 😅😂 🤣
Great video. I just bought a roll of satin white for my new P3D. What’s the cleaning solution? Isopropyl and water ? What dilution?
Nice!! You can pickup ~70% isopropyl at Walmart near the pharmacy in a small bottle and use that to wipe down the center console to clean it.
When the car lease is up can I remove the wrap without damaging the original console finish?
Yes, this should come up without issue!
Teslatunity thanks mate, never tried it before so was worried lol

Winner winner! Thanks and you’re spot on. We’re going to have him redo my wife’s 😜
Very nice and experience is obviously worth paying for. How about some ballpark cost averages we should expect to pay if going to a shop like this?

You can never get anyone to say how much it cost to do this kind of work!
Kind of funny🤔
cost? is he coming to the meetup?

@@michaelrbodner are they doing that on site too?
That’s a good question - I’m not sure but I’ll ask!
@@michaelrbodner they can do ppf there?
Yeah they do everything!
Still had air bubbles on cup holder at 10:47
Yeah all of the air bubbles were released and gone when he was done
When he puts a hot blowtorch nossle down on the seat... 😟
What is the timestamp on that? As far as I remember, every time he put it down was on the floor outside of the car.
Put a sticker on a $50k+ car? whatever....
Certainly not for everyone and that was my same sentiment up until very recently
piano black looked better that looks a bit tacky to be honest
It’s not for everyone. I actually really like the piano black as well, but the finger prints and micro scratches were getting to be too annoying.
@@michaelrbodner piano black is my favorite that is why i liked it better but this looks good also and easier to keep clean like you said
The piano sucks to have daily. Anything is better than the factory black
Ser Solo - These center consoles need a wrap. The shiny black looks cheap on a car that is not so cheap to buy.
@@floridagarye9288 that is your opinion i like the shiny black better.
