I don't remember, but I'm guessing from the moment that followed with Chiyo behind Naruto, this moment in the series was in Shipuuden then? I just don't remember it, I remember the childhood flashbacks in the first Naruto so I had automatically assumed any childhood flashback wasn't going to be in Shipuuden.
