I finished rewatching OG Naruto the other day and the sadness I felt for Gaara was beyond any other character in any anime. He fell short in the beginning, but with unconditional support and understanding from Naruto, he became the kindest, and one of the most powerful. I wish I could grow into half the man Gaara became.

It's honestly quite beautiful how both Naruto and Gaara have an immense respect & admiration for the other, yet never directly tell the other, instead showing the depths of it by talking about them to others.
Gaara has three moments in Shippūden that really stand out for his character. This flashback, when he talks to Naruto in the snow about Sasuke and his speech to the Allied Shinobi Forces. It’s those 3 moments that cemented his place as my favorite character in Naruto
To think, gaara had it even rougher than naruto. Yes the village hated naruto, but atleast the shinobi didn't see the teen naruto as a monster/ weapon. While as for gaara, the shinobi still thought of him as a threat to his own till his fight with deidara. Not to mention all the s**t he went through about his father & his uncle. Naruto saved Gaara for one, for 2 he changed Gaara for the better and as a rusult they got the best KazeKage and 3..... Timari and Kankuro got the loving brother they always wanted. So the way I see it the Hidden Sand Villege owes Naruto a great debt that I don't think can be repaid even over years.

I literally just thought of something the story we have now is awesome but what if in an alternate universe Naruto was the one that went off the deep end and turned the villain and imagine if Gaara was the one to try and bring him back because he wanted to return the favor that Naruto did for him that would be an amazing story
honestly they should have made garra as strong as naruto I belive the series will be better since they called him a machine or TERROR so in shippudent they should have made him super strong so he can be compared to naruto and saskue and be known
