Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park South Rim Drive | RVing in Colorado

We checked another National Park off our list and it was AMAZING! Over Father’s Day weekend we visited Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The views took our breath away.

Deep, Steep and Narrow is how the Black Canyon is described on the National Parks website. The canyon is 48 miles long, 14 miles of which are in the National Park. At its greatest depth. It’s 2,722 feet.
The Painted Wall is Colorado’s highest cliff and measures at 2,250. It’s taller than the tallest building in the United States and less than 500 feet shorter than the tallest building in the world which stands a little over 2700 feet.
