When I first unboxed the ForeverRun, I was not impressed. But after 125 miles I can say this shoe impressed me in so many ways. Comfort! Perfect fit, stable, and very durable.
Hi Edd, I picked this up after your initial review. I seem to be gravitating to this more than any shoe in my rotation. I’m looking forward to the rest of this years Puma releases for the price points they are great shoes.
Thanks for the support on the channel Claire. Really impressed by the Puma so far. A lovely comfortable cruiser but the cushion only gets better the more you use it. Glad they are working out
I've clocked almost 40kms using this Cat. the ride experience is Top notch and the cushion is superb. the only downside is that the inner right corner in between the midsole and outsole looks kinda been scratch or disintegrated I've talked to the local shoe store, they said that it might be the way I run. Funny thing is usually most part of the running shoes that I bought the one that bottomed out first is the outer left sole. Aside from that concern I like the ride quality of it especially in the easy runs.
Got the shoe after your initial review. Great going till now, the shoes as you said create a perfect balance between cushion and rebound. Happy didn't go for the invincible V3
I tried out the invincible V3 at a store, it's such a pity that the heel slip takes the charm away from the zoom X midsole ! Asics , Puma will be the brand's that will do justice with the midsole. Can't wait to try out the Brooks now
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. My first Puma. It’s fantastic. I love the aggressive heel drop. I have this shoe right there with the Tempus, my favorite light stability shoe.
Puma have really upped their game I have 2 pairs of Fast R's some old Magnify's a pair of deviate Nitro elite's and now just ordered some forever runs in a cool blue color they are are fantastic all underrated shoes. I find them all better than the Nike equivalents I would highly recommend all Puma offerings. The Fast R's are awesome what a ride!
Hi ed 👊 , pumas are great shoes, I've flogged my velocity 2 and still tuff as just need a wash brilliant shoe , two other brands just fell apart done the same as , puma is staying in my line up 👍
Yes Edd Puma are producing some very good shoes and and ive got the Velocity Nitro and the Deviate Nitro and are moving forward whereas Nike are going backwards with their lower end shoes. Like you Edd i dread doing my Bass training runs i think it's mentally harder and against what your body wants to do.
What make this shoe so great is you can buy it for at least 50% off the price (if not more) easily now. I bought my first pair of foreverRun for almost 70% discount. And now thinking about to double up the pair since it’s now on sale for 60+% off the price. With that price, I think this shoe is one of the best shoe of 2023.
Like the look of this one Ed and thanks for such a full in depth review but I’m going to hang on until you’ve reviewed the Reebok Energy Floatride 5 which I’m hoping will be soon before deciding. 👍
Exposed foam is the achilies heel. My Puma deviate nitro 2 broke down , cracked near the plate and also outsole came out just in 1 month. Sadly will take the refund tomorrow. No complains on what the shoe makes you feel. Soft and bouncy
Fab video! More cushioned than Velo Nitro 2. Could I fit both in a rotation? Would love to see a Lib 2 review. Want to use it too but I’m close to 100kg.
Playlist share is much appreciated, good taste. I see a Vimazi box there in the stack. Should we expect a review soon or it's gonna have to wait until after your marathon? I'm intrigued by the concept but there are very few reviews out there.
I read comments praising the softness and versatility of the Deviate Nitro 2; some even claimed they were using it for walking, jogging, quick errands, and the plate provided stability vs feeling overly stiff at slow speed. Would you agree on the versatility of the DN2? Or would you take either the Forever Run or the Nimbus 25 as an all-arounder? I'd use the pair to run 8-10k at a time, prefer mild stability.
Have not run in a puma shoe yet but might give these a go! I love squashy shoes but don’t find the nimbus to be too soft so these might be about perfect! Thanks Edd
Nice sporting that Tracksmith top--it should suit you well when you come to Boston. How does the ForeverRun Nitro compare with the Magnify Nitro 2? Also, have you formed an impression of the Vimazi shoes that are behind you?
I picked these up on sale and may return them. I've only worn them in the house, but I'm not sure about the slappiness. There's no roll in the shoe, just heel and then the forefoot slapping the ground. The only other shie over ever felt rhis in was the Novablast 3, whish I also passed on. I'm also struggling to get a firm heel lockdown without tightening the laces quite a bit which is resulting in a lot of pressure on the top of my foot. The tongue is also a bit odd and creases in unfortunate places adding further pressure to my foot. The foam feels great which makes me want to take them on a run but once I do that I cant return them. I'll slap up and down the hallway a few more times and then make a call.
Ordered a pair but your comment makes me worry a bit with regards to the slappiness. Surprisingly, only a few people point to this problem with the Novablast 3 but I completely agree with you. I try to keep running in them but this flap just drives me crazy.
@@joaquimod I did end up running in them and did end up selling them. I basically didn't like anything about them except for the internal midsole foam, but even that was encased in a layer of rigidness that made them slappy. I think dual layer set ups generally work well, but here it's more like the soft foam is in a cup of (rather than being a layer on top of) rigid foam which just prevents the shoe from bending. Every issue I had while testing them inside manifested itself outside. In addition to the slap, I had bad heel slip, terrible lace pressure and was even getting knee pain. I'm putting the knee pain down to to the lack of secure fit rather than the shoe doing anything in particular. I think when a shoe doesn't feel secure, my running gait changes a little... maybe. The shoe is just very rigid in general, except for an oddly thin tongue which I don't think is in line with the rest of the shoe. I am in the minority with this shoe though. I also don't like the Magnify Nitro 2 either, which I'm currently looking to sell. I much prefer the Velocity Nitro 2, Deviate Nitro 2 and even the original Magnify Nitro. You may like the shoe and from what I've been told, the person I sold them to likes them. All I'd say is that if you are unsure from trying them on in the house, maybe send them back before you can't.
great vid....so respectful that you clean the outsoles before reviewing...your coworking youtubers seem to love to touch all the poo on their filthy shoes...
Big fan of puma running shoes. I have both deviate nitro 2 and elite. Love using both of them. No complaints whatsoever. Loving the colorway of that forever run. Waiting on those to release here. Great video again edd.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Do you still recommend it today? My other options are ( Adios Boston 12, Clifton 9 and NM 1080v13 ), I prefer the Puma forever run because its designed for over pronation, but am not sure if i should proceed to buy it or not Currently am using: ASICS Novablast 4 New Balance supercomp elite v3
I'm confused if this shoe is categorised as a stability shoe or neutral. From specs it seems like a stability shoe, but all reviewing this shoe are (as far as I know of) neutral runners..
@@EDDBUD Ok thanks. Because I know Puma has the magnify nitro (neutral) and eternity nitro (stability) as their rather high cushion shoes, so was confused what this foreverrun lineup is all about.
I am in the market for a new running shoe, I run with a pronation. I am looking to get one of these, the Asics Novablast 3, Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 or the Puma Foreverrun Nitro. any advice welcome. thanks
@@EDDBUD I love that before they filmed that scene they explained to the workers on the oil rig they wanted to do that joke. The workers gave them a blank look and said "That happens about once a week" 🤣

@@EDDBUD Thanks Mr. Edd for your fun eccentric running videos.
I have a pair of these on the way so this video helps me feel better about raiding my shoe fund for this one. Thanks Edd

Arrived safe and sound 👍🏼👊
Great video. Love my deviate nitro and just picked up the liberate. Was going to wait for the magnify v2 but might get this one.
