North America is one of the minority of countries that commercially wash their eggs, removing the natural barrier on the shell, which then necessitates eggs to be refrigerated. Most countries don’t wash their eggs and they stay fresh at normal room temperatures for weeks !
You may have more choice when it comes to cereals in the USofA But your breakfast cereals contain a ton of added sugar, including both refined grains and high-fructose corn syrup ,and also have food dyes and other processed ingredients. Not found in UK cereals ,
A lot of American foods are banned in the UK and Europe because they contain illegal colourings E-numbers and additives. These are banned because they are toxic
the smaller bottles at the start are snack size you can buy larger in other parts of the store. They are part of of a deal where you get 3 items for around 4 bucks
Quiet time exists in many supermarkets. It's for people with autism ir others who get a sensory overload when trying to shop at normal times . Just means the store is much quieter, and sometimes the lighting is subdued. My local Tesco does a quiet time every Thursday.
Its so easy to buy a day at a time in the uk being single because usually there is a tesco ect on ur way home from work and there is always a end of day sale where perishables are like 80% off so u canget your dinner for only a few pounds 😊😊

Cadbury's has changed hands, after centuries. The best 'genuine' Cadbury's chocolate is now the ALDI 'store brand' version, which is I think is sold under the brand-name 'Dairyfine' Note: This is not the Aldi 'Everyday Essentials' brand. That is ok and dirt cheap, but doesn't compare.
Eggs when laid have a natural coating that deters moisture so can last for weeks The US wash this coating of so they are prone to absorbing water which can contain bacteria so they need refrigeration
Morrison's choco hoops for cereal. Hula hoops for crisps. Any Border biscuits are premium! Star bars for chocolate snack. Anything from Greggs at lunchtime.
In the UK and EU very high farm hygiene standards are required by law. That means that harmful bacteria, like salmonella, are not present in produce like eggs and therefore they do not need refrigeration. UK eggs typically stay fresh for around 2 weeks at room temperature. The thing where most people go wrong with Marmite etc (and therefore hate it) is they use too much. ¼ teaspoon is the most you should spread on buttered toast. Think of it as a flavouring, like Tabasco, rather than something like peanut butter that you spread thick.
One of my favourite puddings is a pavlova, make it in the shape of a large nest. Whip up double cream with the same amount of whipping cream add some caster sugar. Heat a load of nutella in the microwave just so itmixes easily with the cream, pop on to the meringue. Using a potato peeler to scrape curles of chocolate to decorate, put in the fridge until needed, enjoy, aa of it for yourself, YUMMY.
I keep my eggs in the fridge. Because its a handy place to put them. But they don't come out of the chicken refrigerated and seeing as you don't need to put them in a 'fridge', it would be as weird as buying your bread out of a refrigerator. There are best by/use by dates stamped on the box.
Interesting listening to your choices, which if I haven’t missed anything, tend to lean towards very processed sweet foods. I’m sure there are savoury foods you like but they didn’t seem to appear in your choices. I’d love to introduce you to more traditional British foods and see if we could expand your palate.
Tesco is a supermarket, the third oldest supermarket in Britain 🇬🇧. The fridge you are looking at is at the front of the store it also has sandwiches in. British 🇬🇧 eggs are superior as we do things properly as we take the chicken eggs remove the crap and they are packed then sent to a location for packing if they are not packed at the farm. We make cakes properly in Britain.
hello. in regard to our food, i would like to point something out about our "lack of seasoning". here, they bring out the food relatively unseasoned (except for the necessities), and they expect you to put on your seasoning to suit your tastes.
Sorry, me again 😂. So if anyone watching from the states, if you come to the uk and use tesco, you will see different prices on many items. For the cheaper price , you need a clubcard. But being foreign and no British address, you wont be able to get one so leaves you no choice but to oay the more expensive price. So a little tip, before you go through the check out, ask another customer if you can use their clubcard , everyone will help out as they get points for your purchase. But it could save you a lot of money. !
Personally I really like Shreddies. Not filled with sugar and as cereals go its fairly substantial. Tend to have it on work days and on my days of I have Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Edit: just altering a typo.
We have supermarkets bigger than that one and a lot that are smaller. We shop monthly for many things and more often for fresh goods. There is no fit for all as you seem to assume from watching a few videos. Personally I shop weekly most of the time and have it delivered. We have many of the same brands and many of our own. Often brands may have a different name as in Lays/walkers or ingredients may change to suit our different food laws. I would also point out that "british" food sold in the US may not actually be produced here so that is something to check. Cadbury is one of those.....its made under license by hershey and is not the same at all. Americans seem to have a culture of going out to eat hence the emphasis on fast food restaurants there. We have those of course but use them a lot less. In our supermarkets we have a great choice of "ready meals" that make eating at home a lot simpler .....and healthier too. If you watch their video of them shopping at Marks and Spencer you will see some of those.
There is Tesco, ASDA, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencers, Morrisons to name a few. ASDA was our Walmart I believe. (From the UK). Eggs don't need to be refrigerated in the UK. Its due to different cleaning methods over here. Vegemite is originally Australian. Marmite is originally English, similar I think. I never had the courage to try either xD Some might be willing to send you authentic UK foods via P.O. Box.
The first bit you said about small drinks, they were looking at meal deals a drink a sandwich and a chocolate snack for £3.50 look at JPS American in the UK he lived on meal deals and loved them.
The UK is very easy to get around and we have a lot of what we call 'corner shops'. We have the big stores where we can get a weeks shopping, or we can go to their express stores and pick up a few bits and pieces. Sometimes it can be less economical to shop for a week as stuff gets wasted. Near me we have Aldi, Iceland, Poundland, Tesco Express and a Preimer shop. Plus most of the streets near me have the corner shops for things we might forget at the store, or we can't carry it home. We complain about our buses, but compared to the U.S. they are very good. (We just like to whinge.)
The reason eggs are washed in america and as with the cholrine bath for chickens, is to cover up bad hygien and farming practices, were as in europe, this is not the case, farming practices are much higher, and eggs are straight from the farm to the shelf, should the eggs be dirty no one would buy, so encourages, good farming
i love marmite, so when i was in Australia i thought i'll try vegemite see if there is any difference, i tried it on toast when i first bit into it i thought ohh it's just like marmite then the aftertaste hit my mouth and made me gag, sorry my ozzy friends but it is revolting. lol

Tesco is still a low quality shop in most of the countries. Cheap but low quality products. And hate it for being this big honestly. Never using it if I do, only the express one. The small version.
