Jaromir Jagr has been playing for so long that when he was a kid his favorite player was Jaromir Jagr.
🤣
he meant his father Jaromir Jagr :)
@@goodkovi lol
I’m Czech and I honestly think he just loves the game with his whole heart.
I'm Canadian and I see no lies
i see this completely
@ZHockey I'm Russian and I agree )
i think he just wants money and czech hockey wants money from him from Huawei partnerships
Loves the game... is the game
Jagr is my favorite hockey player of all-time. I am thrilled to know that he’s still playing, and I hope he keeps going for many more years.
He is probably strongest player physically to have ever played ... especially lower body .. strongest legs, I never saw him get moved off the puck when he was against the boards.. combine that with finesse only matched by a few.. and you have Jagr
Wish he play in NHL
I bet he still has the skill level to play in the NHL
@@yesd2024 maybe not but he is still a legend
He should be in the AHL
Canucks could use Jagr right now. He's better than half the dead beats on the team. Or senators.
He was slowing at the end
He is simply a brilliant player
#Truth
Here’s your 69th Like. Happy to do it!
In the 94-95 lockout Jagr played for a third-tier german team for a schnitzel and mayo. True story! He played one game and put up one goal and ten assists for 11 points.
oh my god i had to look this up and this man really did score 11 points in one game, thats just absred
Schalke Sharks. His Buddy called him up. Jagr came for visiting crashed his Buddies couch played one single game for them scored 11 points and continued to become a legend. And now he tries to help his team ( literally his team ) to get back to the first league. What a personality.
I bet he only shot the puck once that game lol
No one normal would eat schnitzel with mayonnaise. It is sick.
@Jerry V, he's not even your average Jaromir
His longevity in the sport is an inspiration, whatever the reason behind it
PEDs
@lulu belle 100% reason to remember the name.
He has no wife or girlfriend that i now about ! Jagrs wife is hockey.
@@ari4681 He is married.
Thank you for the information !
Still remember how he led scoring in Florida, crazy numbers at age 45
He is awesome I like him
Us too!
i liked him too i made a tribute of him when i play hockey
Daaaaaamn straight!
Guy is living his best life, hats off.
He was always my fav Pen when i was a young lad. seeing him still doing what he loves is great.
Agreed!
He came to NHL around the same time as Pavel Bure .. Pave Bure has long been retired and yet Jaromir Jagr is still playing .. love him
He’s the last of the hockey players I grew up watching
Today, his team, Kladno promoted to czech extra league with 4-3 over Jihlava. His assistance for second Kladno goal was unbelievable.
Watching Jagr play is like watching a symphony on ice. His soul is a part of the game I know he will play his whole life.
He Is playing in Czech republic for 2 years now and nothing will stop him. I saw him play with Plekanec agaist České Budějovice and they were MVP's
He's not even bad. Age is only a number for him
Football has Zlatan, Hockey has Jaromir. Two Gods amongst men.

I saw that he was drafted in 1990 and my initial reaction was “well that was only like 15 years ago”. Man, time flies.
what the hell year are you livin in? how in the world do you think 90 was 15 years ago? its not even 2015 lol
@@alexg9693 lol. valid question. but i know what he means. i was once looking at a photograph from 1995 and I was like "I can't believe that was only 10 years ago!" when it had been 20.
@@alexg9693 everyone feels that way. You must be young
Jaromir Jagr scored his first NHL goal the day I was born, I’m 30, halfway to 31, and he’s still playing.
That is just awesome
I wasnt born 7,5 years and 7 days when he got drafted. He is my favourite hockey player of all time.
Wow
i loved getting a chance to watch him play while he was with the panthers. What a legend!
I love how he looks like the logo on his jersey.
Love for the game is the reason. He owns the club he plays for here in CZ (Kladno, 2nd league). It is his childhood club and now he is an actively playing owner trying to get the club to the first league where it used to be...
Living the dream!
@@CBCSports No living without a challenge :)
I was also born on February 15th, 1972. Proud to say that.
Mr hockey, and the inventor of the hockey haircut 😀.He really loves the game 👍. Greetings from Sweden.
Thanks for the visit
This is classic 80's haircut.
He's been playing professional hockey the whole time I've been alive......ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!
I love Gretzky but it was funny when Jagr scored the OT goal to cut Wayne's swan song short lol
Truly an all-time great Jagr is!
Lemieux, Jags and Stevens on the same line in Pittsburgh was probably the highest octane offense the NHL has ever seen...............I remember seeing games where their line would routinely put up 10-12 points.........
Also Gretzky, Kurri & Tikkanen
@@topiheimola69 I'd still take Lemieux, Jags and Stevens over the Oilers front line...........no doubt they were also great but Lemieux, Jagr and Stevens were big, fast, strong and just as skilled as the more fragile Oilers players......
Tikkanen really?
I also am gonna throw in Summer-Dionne-Taylor (Triple Crown Line)
They don’t want him in the NHL because he’ll break records.
Hidden truth!
Straight up the NHL has something against guys breaking records. Wouldn’t surprise me if ovi gets close to the goal record the league will shoo him away
Is he close to another one or two?
@@im3phirebird81 He's simply not good enough anymore for the NHL. Watch his last nhl season. Still a great player, just too slow for NHL.
Too many cap problems and young guys that can skate circles around him.
"I would prefer to come right away"
The words my wife hates to hear.
Bruh
Mine says, why is this taking long? I got things to do.
This comment wins
Haha!
Top comment had to laugh
Jaromir Jagr and Tom Brady will still be playing by the time I welcome my grandkids to the world
Lifelong Bruins fan, that man broke my heart more than once, One of the best!
A legend from Czechia!
It is very cool that Jagr has continued to play hockey and I hope that he will be able to play until he is 50 years-old!
He was drafted a few days after I was born, and if I was playing pro hockey I would be considered a veteran based on my age...
That's math worth celebrating.
This guy is my hero...fkn amazin!!!!
Jaromir Jagr played in Italy for my hometown's team HC Bolzano in 94/95 season. unforgettable, what a legend.
Is that the game where he got 11 points?
i love jagr.my favorite hockey player ever ever ever
I like that interview when he was ask who was his favorite player when he was young. He said Jaromir Jagr. That was hilarious
Living legend
I grew up in the 90’s penguins fan, passion baby. But to still be playing... such an athlete, with the mental natural mental hype
He's never retiring, he will playing hockey to his grave.
I sure hope so... love to see him play as long as possible!
He has no family, no children what else can he do with his life?
Good for him. God Bless his passion.
Still disappointed he couldn't play the full season with the flame because of injuries. He ignited a fire here that hadn't been seen in years and it was exciting to watch him play on my home team.
The Travelling Jagr's were hilarious.
I have always loved Jagr, he is a great player and will always be my favourie
guys continue to play hockey because it's the only life they know. From 5 years old, at least six months a year it's all about being at the rink, practicing, hanging in the dressing room with your teammates, ..... lot's of guys are just never ready to give that up. that's why lots of NHLers go into broadcasting and other hockey roles, they just wanna be at the rink.
Wayne,Mario,Jaromir- GOAT forever👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Legend of the game. How he can still play at his age is amazing
One of my favorite all time hockey players !
Jags will always be one of the greatest to ever cut the ice.
I believe he just loves the game of hockey.
Was a great player on a great time. The mans a machine he's still playing while others are coaching or becoming gms
Jagr is a beast. One of the best in puck protection imo. easely top 10 all time players who played in thé nhl.
Guy's like him bring something special to the game watch his highlights, i like playing with Guy's like this to see them dangel is a thing of beauty the way he can move in and around defenders go cost to cost,it's like watching art unfold right before you're eyes
So, Jaromir Jagr, Betty White, and Keith Richards walk into a bar. It's not a joke, it's 2247 and they're the only 3 humans still alive. Hey this would make a good TV show lol!
Than Trump walk in and ..."you all are fired"
where's Queen Elizabeth?
And ozzy
But who owns the bar?
@@MrLaxinator Don Cherry?
I believe it! He’s a legend man.
Me, who isn't a hockey fan. Band only watched the World Cups years ago, knows who Jagr is. Damn he was good and fast.
Still playing, double damn.
What a legend!
Insane he's still playing over 30 years pro
By my count he's played 32 years of pro. If he's playing this year (which i can't seem to find any evidence of) then he matches Gordie Howe's record of 33 years of pro hockey.
@@junahbirchwater8514 go to eliteprospects.com and search up jagr, he has played 11 matches in czech2 with 3 points
Jagr has been playing professional hockey since when I was born and I am about to be 31. What an absolute beast of a man. Guarantee he has been playing pro hockey for longer than the average age of an NHL player.
Proud to say he represented my state in Philly and in Pittsburgh...One of the smoothest most elusive players I ever saw play and I think he would have handed "the great one" his jock...I've seen him go through the Flyers like they were glued to the ice...I'd say he's one of the greatest hockey players in history...
What an AWESOME dude and still going which is so much more than I can say for most athletes.... I think a majority of players don't actually LOVE the game at all or get so burned out with money/coaches/teammates/cities they honestly don't remember why they started playing in the first place.
I believe it, he loves the game.
Believe it or not, he is still playing with Rytíři Kladno to this day! Recently scored his first of the season 💙
Happy 49th birthday Jags!!!
Unbelievable wow
Why did you go to L.A. You would of had free meals in Toronto forever.
Absolutely legend
For reals!
Grew up watching him play for the Pens, such a good player and time for hockey!
Veritas!
this is why hockey is awesome and great you can play till old age
Jagr is one of my all time favourites! I still hold a grudge against Marc Bergevin for never signing him even after Jagr stated he’d love to play in Montreal
Totally agree!
Those gambling debts were way larger than announced...A joke. Amazing! And respect for still wearing #68. For those who know what it means!
The year 68, something tragic happened in Czechoslovakia..
Never knew that, thanks. I should learn since 4 great grand parents from there.
but they found out he has like 90 million dollars even after the debts :]
@Jerry V Hes fricking awesome,is that true about becoming orthodox Christian I really hope so, the only thing and I mean literally the only thing he has left to do in this world and I really hope does do is find a good wife and have alot of children and be a great father...then hed literally be like the 29th coolest human of the past 50 years instead of just top 75 lol.
Яромир Ягр - лучший! Пример как надо жить и любить хоккей! Здоровья и долгих лет жизни!
Oh I'm definitely one too. I have his 1990 Upper Deck rookie card in French (worth 4x book value) in ½ inch thick plastic!! How can you not love Jagr?!
I was in Prague in march 2020. I almost saw JAGR play but then the covid came, I met a girl there who claimed her friend was with Jagr she said he is impossible to be with, Gets up at 3 am every day trains incessantly his mother is his everything she cooks cleans and has a say in pretty much everything. He is obsessed with hockey even when I was a kid in like 97 in the Czech rep playing hockey they would talk about how you gotta be as obsessed as jagr to make it. 1000 squats a day.
I have thought about this a lot and i think jagr will come back when hes 50 and comfortably surpass Gretzky.
I called it out a few times. He only needs three seasons to take it look at the stats.
In this day and age he could possibly play well into his 60s and i dont doubt thats exactly what that obsessed genius is thinking.
The girl said and I quote. “He’s one dimensional”!
Long live JAGR
Just the 1000 squats a day leaves us in awe. 😮
If he wants to play and has still has the wheels for it. Let him.
Still remember the 1990 draft year, we (nuckleheads) took Nedved as he was the next Gretzky, instead of well, take your pick, Jagr, Primeau, Ricci, Ktachuk, Brodeuer, if you think this is sad well just remember it's just one example of our sorry franchise history
Canucks fans 4 life!
he's so amazing can't believe it
I loved Jags...One of the best Pens ever! What I'd do to see a salute after a goal!! Go 68..your ageless.
I so badly want to see him in the NHL one more time! Even if it’s just for one game.
Us too!
I miss him in orange and black
To me he is the greatest ever.
Funny, nice and humble too...
Definitely not alone.
I’m a Ranger fan. I went to many games, that magical year he had for us. He played every minute with the excitement of a kid on his first shift.
That's the kind of energy that keeps him going, and makes people want to see him.
Once a Hockey Player, always a Hockey Player!
Jags would look great on the Penguins power-play right now. Idk that he's a fit in Pittsburgh with the team as the roster is right now? I believe some NHL club would be a better team with Jagr though, the puck follows him as it does all the great ones to ever play.
Would love to see jags back on the Pens!
Totální legenda a obrovský talent.
Hell yes. What a legend.
I'd love to see him in Montreal for this season.
next Jaromir will be playing hockey in the federal league for the charlestown Chiefs
Smart move. Then if somebody tells him he's too old to play this game, they'll find themselves involved in fisticuffs with Dave "Killer" Carlson.
Good one, he could help the team though
SCOUTS?!?
🤣
I'd like to see him play against Ogie Ogelthorpe
He’s a legend!
Legend.
It wasn’t even the Czech Republic back then lol
Incredible player. Would love to have seen him in today’s cleaner and less obstructed NHL.
He did.
He was a huge part of the Penguins back to back Stanley Cup wins in 1991 and 1992, I still remember him as an 18 year old kid playing on the team and remember them trading for Jiri Hrdina so he could translate for him and help make his easing into the NHL easier as he was a fellow countryman.
GREAT MEMORIES!!!!
Those back to back Cups in Pittsburgh were 1991 & 92. The Oilers won their 5th Cup in 1990, without Gretzky...
@@thomasvarady1210 Yes thanks for that, corrected now!! These things happen when you get old lol!!
I’m with ya brother! I remember those 2 Cup runs pretty clearly. Jagr was a force right from the get go. Probably the best European player to ever lace ‘em up in the NHL...
@@thomasvarady1210 What an amazing start he had, winning the Cup at 18 years old and then doing it again the next season! And that goal he scored against Chicago the second Cup year was a thing of beauty! Good for him, I hope he plays as long as he wants to, he'll always be a Penguin to me....
I think winning the Cup later in your career would be more rewarding. As you said, Jagr won it in his first 2 seasons. It took Yzerman 13 seasons to win his first. Lanny McDonald & Ray Bourque won their first Cups in their last seasons...
I always loved Jagr.
Get that man on a plane to Vancouver, Lord knows they need him!

Jagr has scored a professional hockey goal on five different decades.
Amazing, considering that he is ...49 years of age! But ok.
Did you mean Gordie Howe? I know he’s played in five different decades. The only guy to pull that off so far. If I’m not mistaken
@@valencecartier4639 That's the beauty of math.
Born 1972 he was playing pro hockey from 1988. Thus he scored his first pro goal in the 80's and all the way through to 2020's so that's a goal on five different decades.
