Thanks mate! I usually follow the benny greb method from art and science of groove and then for this sound I just cranked the toms until I thought it sounded good - no real method haha! Alex 👊
This solo always messes me up lol. The syncopation of the off beat hits always throws me, especially the one in the fourth bar on the E of 4(???), my ear starts to hear it a 16th note prior so the first hit lands directly on the 1 and then I just play through the whole solo like that until the end where I readjust the 16th note back to land back into the groove. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
It’s a tricky one for sure! In bar 4 the hit is on ‘3+’ but in bar 8 there’s one on ‘1a’ and ‘3+’ - if you pause the video where I full screen the notation, you can see the count written on top of the notes! Hope it helps! Keep killing it! Alex 👊
