Australian vowels sound strange to my American ear; likewise New Zealanders and some people of the British Isles can hardly be understood. I watch a lot of Dr. Finlay's Casebook and get a kick out of their Scottish ways. This woman is a good listener, genuinely interested with no interest in dominating the conversation.
All I know is this. Days before my Dad died he was talking outloud to his deceased mother!!!
