Strange, when I click your link, Harri, the video is unavailable. It sounds like JT but definitely not the version we are use to. (That version has JD Souther singing with him, and sounds more rich and full than the version you played.) I would suggest finding it just for your own comparison. Good reaction anyway!
@@amyk9175 - I agree. When I go to Harri's link, there is nothing there. Maybe James noticed it as an imposter and removed it. This one sounds so bland compared to the other version; the other version is so sultry and has passion in it. This one not so much.
I'm a huge JT fan and thats not him. The original, and it's excellent, is a duet with JD Souther.

The best version is the live version with James Taylor and J D Souther. Try listening to James Taylor (Shower the People) live at the Beacon Theater. Awesome performance. His back up singer takes the lead at the end and it’s stellar

James Taylor was the first person I ever saw in concert. Carole King opened for him. That was just a bonus! What a show! I was 17. “Handy Man” is one of my favorites. He’s just so smooth and peaceful. Even when singing about turmoil 🌺✌️

Love James Taylor. What a great singer songwriter. His style is more folk rock. I grew up with his music & had some of his records. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide. "You've Got A Friend" was a big hit for him in 1971 & was written by Carole King. Some other hits were "Fire and Rain", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)", "Handy Man", "Sweet Baby James", "Carolina in My Mind", "Shower the People" & "Your Smiling Face". He was married at one time to Carly Simon. They had a few duets together including "Mockingbird" & "Devoted to You".

Harri this actually a re- recording of the original song taken from one of his best of compilation albums . A lot of artist do this whether they weren't satisfied with the original or just wanted to switch things up . Whatever the case . Please do the original which was performed with JD Souther who is a great singer/songwriter in his own right . You should do a reaction to his song " You're only lonely " it has great Roy Orbison feel to it

God. This was awful! Definitely NOT James Taylor. This sounded more like a karaoke version that’s played at a hole-in-the-wall bar. Nothing “soulful” about. Just a horrendous “tribute” to JT by some unknown band.
