I feel the same way Elli. I have read on my own for many years. I attended church & Christian events also for many years. But I have learned more about the Bible & God as a whole in the 18 or so months I have been reading here regularly.
I love these videos. I usually watch these clips then read these chapters in the bible. It has been such a help in understanding what I am reading. I just finished 1st Kings, and then watched all these videos. I plan on watching each video of 2nd Kings, then reading each chapter after I watched the videos. I did these Book backwards but it was still great in that i was like a refresher of what I just read! Thank you David for these series! Thank all of you at Spoken Gospel!
Thank you for these. The BSF study for 2022-2023 is working through 1-2 kings and the prophets and these videos really help me understand what I'm reading from a Jesus lens.
These videos have helped me with my Bible reading I just finished reading 1 King and watch the video along with it to understand and now reading 2nd King I read the scripture and then watch the video and it has helped alot God bless you guys ❤
This video is a great help to me in understanding the scripture. Thank you for making these videos. I understand most of the content, but I did not understand why you would use the word "cunning" (time bar: 4.16, 4.36) to describe God. Cunning means "having or showing skill in achieving one's ends by deceit or evasion". Is there any scripture showing that God is cunning? On the other hand, the scripture said that there is no deceit in God. God is the truth, the light without changing shadow in Him (James 1:17, 1 John 1:5). He has ultimate authority in everything, and therefore, he can achieve His good and perfect will even in the presence of darkness (John 1:5). God brings the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light (Job 12:22).
Thought that this would be helpful. In Bible-English "cunning" means always "wise" or "skilful"; the word does not occur in the bad sense, and it is found in the Old Testament only. The chief Hebrew words are chakham, "wise," "skilful" . Now the question is did they make the video with this meaning in mind or not ?
@@wheredidpebblego Thank you for this explanation. In today's context, cunning is not used in a good way, but has a negative connotation. So, the explanation of the Hebrew word is really helpful.
What a word lord I worship you are worthy even disguise could not stop God's judgment may God forgive us.
The study regarding Kings has been so helpful! Thank you!!
These videos have been a blessing! Truly have learned a lot since I began reading the Bible with these videos. Don't stop! Blessings!

I came to see if anyone felt a little confused on “cunning” in this interpretation video .
