Also about the Harbour with evidence, my sister once took part in the Regatta games but left the water quickly when a turd floated past her face. And yes don't try the Oysters or you'll end up in hospital or the morgue.
In 1963, I stayed at Arthur McKevits Slieve Foy Guest House in Carlingford for a few weeks and there was an infestation of fleas in the village, I can remember queuing up in the chemist with other visitors for calamine lotion. The locals were not effected, especially the alcoholics.
