Hello everybody! (•‿•) Hope this video was helpful. I actually had a bit of trouble changing my strings since it's been a while haha Let me know what other violin tutorials ya'll wanna see!~
Hello after you tune the e string you remove the string protector from the bridge or you leave it there? I am new in the violin world greetings from Mexico.
Hi, I have been watching your violin videos since I started learning about 2 1/2 years ago. I just bought a new set of strings and replaced them but I didn’t like the sound of the a and e of the new set so I kept 2 of my old ones on and 2 new ones. That’s ok right? Or will it cause any sound quality trouble? Thank you so much. My violin all of a sudden started sounding really foggy especially the d and not vibrant but I wasn’t sure if it was because of the strings or the bow so I started by replacing the strings but I think I may need to get my bow rehaired.
sucky thing when youre a violinist and especially first violin is that your e string gets rusty more often than the lower strings so you have to replace them. good thing is that theyre cheaper than the rest lol
Hi Esther i have fine tuners on all my strings and I have recently perchased some strings Pirastro Evah Pirazzi with the ball end is this correct or do I need to swap to loop ends for my e string?
I quite like dominants. Very neutral string; not too bright, not too dark, "just right'. Looks like she's got Evah Pirazzi's which are the rolls royce of violin strings and have a super bright brilliant tone.
@@bennyboost this comment was over a year ago, and now I've made my final choice evahs after trying a lot out. And yes, she said she uses evahs in the video
my e string didn't come with a protector thing so I put it on from my old string, hopefully I didn't screw up but I don't want that e string digging into my bridge
She was giving you an example away from the violin to make it easier to see. Your peg needs to be in place in the violin like normal to put a new string in.
the baroque violinists be like: what the freak is this, my sheep gut strings are nothing better to this trash tutorial!! (but keep in mind this is a great tutorial)

this is a bit late, but you leave it there.
Thank you for your answer it changes the sound a little but the bridge gets more durable.
@@BorregOmar you are supposed to leave the protector there otherwise the string will dig into the wood of the bridge.
"3-6 months" yeahhhh i cant afford that, I'll just change them when they start unraveling and cut my finger again

Hey Blake! It depends what type of fine tuners you have, but most of the fine tuners I've seen uses the ball end! Hope that helps :)

Esther, have you tried Dominants? I am buying them soon. What do you think of them?
I quite like dominants. Very neutral string; not too bright, not too dark, "just right'. Looks like she's got Evah Pirazzi's which are the rolls royce of violin strings and have a super bright brilliant tone.

Tip: after pulling the string through the “peg hole”. “Crimp/pinch” the end, this will help prevent “slipping”! 🎻
