    I'm so excited to find your channel! I inherited a violin from my son-in-law a few years ago and eventually I had the peg slipping problem. I put it away in a closet thinking it would be too expensive to take it in and fix it. Now I know how to do it myself (haven't tried it yet, but you've shown me how) and I see you have many great videos to help take the mystery out of taking care of my violin! Thanks so much!

      It’s actually like only $14 to get it fixed by a professional

    Where do you attach a clip-on tuner on the violin? Thanks, Joel...

    • @KennedyViolins
      @KennedyViolins  5 лет назад +2

      Most people will attach the clip-on tuner to a peg while they're tuning. let me know if you have any other questions!

    What if it’s a new string that needs to be stretched a little.

    • @KennedyViolins
      @KennedyViolins  3 года назад +2

      Just tune it as you would usually but make sure you tune it again and again and again... Depending on if it's a solid steel string or one that has a synthetic core, they may stretch for 48 hours or so. You just have to check in with the bridge as well, to make sure you are not pulling it too crooked (might start leaning towards the fingerboard). If you are, you'll have to straighten it out, to prevent it from warping.
