Haha apparently he can play it but I've never seen any footage of him playing it. Even when ocean spay is done acoustic Sean still doesn't play the trumpet part.
I thought the same until I realized how much Stereophonics 'have borrowed' from the Manics :p It's Feeder and Manic Street Preachers for me I'm afraid.
@@majudaem Yes, me too! I grew up with the Stereophonics' music (from 15-18), and since I lived in a small village, I could easily relate to their early stuff. But yeah, now that I'm older and more sentimental I definitely share the same sentiment. However, I'm just getting into the Manic Street Preachers' early albums, and wow! Never knew they used to be angsty like that; love it!
Actually they're awesome live but please prove us wrong. You perform this set yourself and do better, while bearing in mind you've lost a band member and close friend so any of these songs are undoubtedly emotional for them all. Show us the vid when you're done. Alternatively maybe just shut the fuck up love?
Always thought it was incredible that James could still play that opening riff when the vocal comes in. Impressive!
One of the best songs ever written
Now hold on there , it's not even top 200
Motorcycle happiness is better
My favourite version of la tristessa...love Sean's drumming
Got to be impressed with those vocals.
Nicky is so cool right there
"La tristesse durera toujour” Vincent Van Gogh
Very talented Welsh band .
Sean's trumpet solo at 0:23 could use some work.

It's where the saying 'put a sock in it' came from
😂😂 swear I was just listening this song walking by a crow in the park and he seemed to mimic the sound of “si-I-iiigh” lol

I mostly knew their stuff from This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours onwards, so I always assumed their whole catalogue was melancholic. How wrong were I!
@@majudaem Same thing happened with Feeder :/ their music direction has completely changed after Jon's passing. Welsh bands are cursed or what :(
Look, 1000s of people, enjoying themselves, without phones...
