Thank you for tuning into my first skate tutorial video. This is the fourth video and I know that it's been like 3 weeks since my last tutorial but now back ON! So thank you for your patience!
But in today's lesson, we are going to go over some footwork. This move that I am doing in this video I call it "The Replacement" but even though I have given it that name, some may refer to it by a different title and that is absolutely ok! In this rhythm skating world, you will come to find out that there are a plethora of different skate moves that have no titles but for the sake of the video, I have titled each move a name that I was told or that I best seen fit.
In my tutorials, it's all about body mechanics when it comes down to making a move easier to execute. In this video, I will show and tell you how to use proper body mechanics and I hope you enjoy!

You're brilliant! Love your tutorials.
Ha! I’m SOO wanting to try this move now!!! You truly ROCK, Mr. Roc!!! I love your tutorials and your honest explanations, such as “this creates the illusion”…so many movements can create so many different physical visual effects...this looks quite simple but I’m pretty sure it’s a lot harder to execute than it looks. You’re a pro so you make everything look easy to accomplish but I absolutely love and appreciate the fact that you take time to explain everything step by step...including the possible accidental splits...LOL... you’re too funny! Gotta have injury prevention tips, right?!!!! LOL 😂 Thanks again!!
Lucia Gunn 😂😂😂 gotta keep it as real as possible!
you're just great - subscribed. thank you
Best teacher on the web
Javon Blye I appreciate it! I'm working on some other things right now but I'm still in the teaching biz so look forward to some more vids soon
Nice Roc.....it's nice of you to put out all the help too !!
Definitely! That's what it's all about, each one teach one!
MAN I saw your comment on this video of JB skating and I came to check you out and came across this!! I saw a JB skater do this and I'm like I need to learn this. Keep doing these videos man, they will make me a better JB Skater. Thank You! and keep explaining the steps and detail: bending knees etc... all of it helps
CarisLocs that's mad dope! Lol I'm glad that this was a big help and I will have more material coming soon!
Bruh, this is so COLD 🔥 even though I can do that love a lot better in my mind! 😂
A very foundational movement pattern explained really well!
Are you still selling skate swagg shirts? Great informative, fun, detailed, well put together videos. Thank you very much.
We checking for you. Keep it going bro. No one else is doing tutorials for moves on quads. I have jus started avidly rhythm skating and your videos are life changing real talk. I'm in the basement holding on to the deep freezer working on the splits as you were on the fence in the other video. If you can could you do a video about wheels? What sizes ranges are good for rhythm skating when indoor also vise versa which are good for outdoor? I'm trying to get this whole durometer thing down.
i did a vid on outdoor wheels if u want to check it out. also did a vid on indoor wheels. but agreed, his footwork so dope! i binge watch his vids cuz he so smooth lol
I wil try to doe it,thanks 🙂
Keep'em comin' bros!!
Will do!! Putting up more in the next 3 days
This is really cool.
he unlocked all the moves 😂
What kind of wheels do you have on your skates? Maybe my wheels are keeping me from gliding 🤷🏾♀️
those skates are sickkkkkkk
ROC: at 3:17 when "your" right foot pivots on your heel, are the front 2 wheels slightly off the ground but still slide on the pavement?
Is there a reason for not tying your boots all the way up? Like functionality or is just for style? Cause I see this a lot when I see jam skating, rhythm, and dance
Are you lifting your toe when you pivot or on all four wheels?
What plate are you using and are there other plates you enjoy?
Why do you have one different wheel? Is there some kind of advantage with the style?
I would like to see left foot and right foot pivots in either direction.
Eric Jordan I gotchu! I will put that out soon
What's a good pair of skates to begin with?
And what should I expect to spend?
what s up from france?!!!
I didn’t get that at all 😩😫😩😫
At least you're not trying to show out bro
