I’m just now watching this and yess 100% feel free to sleep in the steps anytime we loved have you at the library. Tracy Ali & I hope you have safe travels🤍
Joe,either you are one bad ass MFr or you don’t know about the gaters in those swamps. Any case, you got a good scrubin off. Good video. Hope you had a good night with a librarian 😅 ride safe Joe.
It's wild being out in the woods tent camping and alot of animals sound bigger than they are.. I was camped by a pond here in northwest Illinois and a bobcat was on the prowl. Even though it was 30 pounds it sounded like a freaking huge mountain lion..
In Alabama to find a place to camp just go down a logging road a little. If someone comes up, they will ask ya if ya need anything, or try to help ya. Good videos
4:22 Man how cool your right down the road from me, We take the grands fishing in that small creek, I started riding againg the other year and use that boat parking lot to train...Small world!!!
In his book Jupiter's Travels about riding his Triumph Tiger 100 around the world in 1973-77, Ted Simon mentions one of his most useful bits of kit during his journey was a sturdy umbrella.
There's some great camping just outside Helen, GA. @spaztech was there a couple weeks ago. Right next to a nice cold running stream. I kept waiting to see a gator head pop up in the water at the first campsite north of Panama City. Great video. Love the new ending logo too.
Great video. I was just over near columbia ala visiting a covered bridge . The hardware store you passed as you turned left has some coolnold stuff inside . And real good breakfast
Hey Joey. Getting warm southwest here also. Heading to northwest in few days. Then across top to sturgis by early July. Love it before rally. See ya at Lynn’s Dakota Mart again :) I had a standoff with a badger at nite once, he didn’t want me there. He lost, but it made me sad. Life on the road
Another great video with lots of tips for me to try on my camping trips coming up,I like the whole chicken idea, also I going to get a tarp like yours from Amazon it looks like it will save me some space on my bike thanks for sharing.
Getting my kit together. Have the Senior National Park Pass. The already cheap tent sites are half price. Allow two tents per site I believe. If you are in same area I'm at should be able to pitch your tent for around $5/night?
What / who is your health care plan? Just wondering...Incase (god forbid) accident / snake bite, whatever...I have been on the road for several years now. Self pay only goes so far.
Another great video Joe! Absolutely beautiful areas. What type of ear plugs are you using and when you wear them under your helmet do they come out? Thanks for sharing
Whats the town near tge free georgia bama campsites?? Im doin a trip with my kid from.wisconsin back home to florida and were gonna camp an bavkroad it on the bike
Going up around Ontario next week so I can hook up with the Adam Sandoval ride for wounded wariors at Taylor Michigan to Sturgis Michigan to Fort Wayne Indiana thought I might cross paths
Definitely possible. Depends on your riding style/ how fast you wanna do it lol. The NC is good for getting off-road because its super light. Long stretches on the highway not so much. A lot of guys seem to like the Super Tenere for long trips like that
Done that trip twice. Allow a month so you don’t have to rush too much. Just about any bike will do it, because Ed March proved it. Bigger the gas tank the better. Shaft drive is nice because chains and sprockets don’t like mud, sand, and calcium chloride (Dalton Hwy) all that much. You might want some Bear Spray. Try not to overpack because Dawson City, White Horse, and Fairbanks are sizable enough for acquiring most things. The University in Fairbanks rents out the dorm rooms in the Summer. Good place to store things while you ride up to Dead Horse, stare at the Arctic for 15 minutes and ride back. Antigan Pass can be sketchy in bad weather. I took the Marine Hwy (Bellingham to Haines) in 14. Top Of The World Hwy to Dawson is fun if you arrive near or on Summer Solstice. Best of luck Raymond Wright.
@@dwightsmith4641 I've been watching a lot of RUclips posts to try get the best info. I have seen vids with all types of bikes going to Dead Horse. I can't afford a bike with a drive shaft like a GS and was looking for something with good gas miles Even thought of DR650 or a KLR,. The DR seems a better choice and still has a carb rather than fuel injections, and seems easy to change the gas tank to an Acerbis tank with bigger storage. But then how comfortable will that be running on the highway to Alaska ? Thanks for the info.
@@raymondwright2985 I did it both times on two different GS, but I was riding with someone on 2001 Yamaha WR250R once and the other time I was with a guy on 1984 Honda 500 Cx that has shaft drive. I have a 1990 Honda PC800 with shaft drive. Try to choose something you can pick up from the ground. After you come back from the Dalton reserve a full day to clean your bike while in Fairbanks. That calcium chloride is like cement. It was $230 to stay one night in Deadhorse and they don’t allow tents. I am sure the price has gone up since 2012 and 2014 when I was there. If you decide to do Denali National Park book a bus that at least goes 66 miles into the park. Personal vehicles (ie motorcycles) can only go about 15 miles in due to the wildlife. All my best Raymond.
Living free ain't easy.. but living easy can be free
Got that right! 😎

That's so cool! I've slept in a few church parking lots during my travels, but never the library steps 🤣🤙
You ladies are truly good people ❤
that bottle of seasoning you used on the chicken looked familiar. LOL enjoyed it.
Keep eyes open for the gators.😮
Bald Cypress grow in swamp water also keeps it clean

THATOLD LIBRARY REMINDS ME OF MY GROWING UP DAYS. GLAD THE STILL HAVE THEM.

Knock on wood, she's been great
That was agood tent setup

Hey what kind of motorcycle gloves were you wearing in this video? Thanks for sharing all that you do.
I picked em up at PCB rally for 20 bucks. Not sure the brand
Stay for the wedding
Wedding crasher? 😊

You are a brave man to bathe in a swamp, I'd be scared shitless, you must know what you're doing.
Nah, it’s possible that the swamp creatures know Joe and are afraid of him!
Lmao
It never gets old how you call your life on the road a "project" 🤣
Lol
When you heading to Canada? Gonna go through Syracuse, NY?
Not sure yet. Likely thereabouts
Scotty has my number. Give me a call if you’re heading through Syracuse.
When and where do you service your bike?
Maintence intervals out of the Honda book. Wherever I’m at 😎
hi...you have had your honda NC 750 X almost a yr...how are you liking it so far...how man miles have you put on it
About 16k, still loving it!
How do you keep your computer charged to edit?
I have a small solar battery bank, it’s good for about a 25% charge. Otherwise I go to the library or coffee shop
I'd be wary going in that water, snakes and gators
you look a little like Chevy Chase Should have been his stunt double lol
Lmao 🤣 I got that a lot as a kid
Whats the town near tge free georgia bama campsites?? Im doin a trip with my kid from.wisconsin back home to florida and were gonna camp an bavkroad it on the bike
Eufaula Al
Joe, how can a fan contact you if you are in their area? I would love to meet you while you pass through South Carolina on your way to western NC.
Through Instagram PM. I’m already up in VA though. My IG is @dirtymotorcyclevagabond thanks
No water moccasins??
Probably lol
Hey Joe how far across Canada are you going after you leave New Hampshire?
Up around Quebec City. I’m about 30 miles away
Going up around Ontario next week so I can hook up with the Adam Sandoval ride for wounded wariors at Taylor Michigan to Sturgis Michigan to Fort Wayne Indiana thought I might cross paths
Enjoy
I don’t know anything about that. But I should be in the UP of Michigan in about a week or so
Will be riding across Ontario in a day or two (if I can get around the fires lol)
What kind of set up you do you have and use for making your videos filming and editing
Basically just GoPro 7 and iphone. I like imovie for editing
So your are using an IPhone or iPad for editing and uploading or do can you get iMovie on a laptop
What about mosquitos 😂.
Actually weren't too bad
Are any of us living free?
Tryin' 😅
That's why my federal an state reps know me by voice! Trying too stay free!

Smart man: public boat launch. Living in the West -- plenty of BLM spots. Have to be smarter in the east. Good on you.
What size tarp is that ?
Just found the other comment 9x10
That sounds about right
I'd rather not swim where gators swim, seems crazy to me.
If you are ever back in West Virginia hit me up Joe you can come camp at our place in the country anytime my friend!
Thanks man
