- Today we're working through the procedure I have written up to start the Carenado Cessna 182RG II from cold and dark in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Obviously it isn't a "study level" aircraft, but that doesn't stop us from following at least some of the real-world procedures in operating the aircraft somewhat-correctly. This is very much a "functional how-to" - not a real-world procedures and checklist guide :)

Do you include the other checklists such as, Climb Cruise, and Descent in your startup procedure for sale?
@@howardslade267 Not usually (although saying that, I've included some details in the DC-6 checklist)
Thanks for this! :)
There is some documentation Carenado provides that can be found here (MSFS installed from Steam): %AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Official\Steam\carenado-aircraft-c182rg\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado_C182RG\Documentation
Any video about the diff between power and prpeller rpm? Inst more power just more rpm?
Quality videos Jonathan. Top to bottom. I’ve learned so much for your channel in my MSFS quests. Massively grateful for your time creating these and the check lists
I’ve been flying this for about 2 months now, i love it so so much. I read the entire SOP to learn it for myself. I honestly might be able to start one irl. It makes me beyond happy to see you make this! Keep it up man!
it was quite helpfull thank you
I’ve got loads of time in this aircraft real world. One of the best Cessnas ever made. Fast, roomy, will carry a lot of weight, will carry a load of ice if you get stuck in it, and has the ultra strong wing design as all Cessnas and will easily support as much as 5 G’s just in case.
Real world is quite a bit different than sim, especially in engine control and prop control settings on take off and climb out then cruise etc.. Other than that looks good! 👍👍👍
Yeah - it's a Carenado - they are simplified on purpose so it's not so difficult to manage for the mass market :)
Many thanks for this tutorial. Well needed!
Could you make such a video for the Ford Tri-Motor if possible please?
Adding another one to the list :)
In a good weather like video, theres no need to pitot heat on.
Use only under 5º temperature.
Great presentation thank you....Roger, Pembrokeshire
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Video, Thank You.
I love the way you pronounce Ballina. IRL it is pronounced Bal -Lin - a
I'll correct myself next time :)
