Man that first Dee Jay match is a great example of why I love max! The fact that he can get absolutely slapped the first match and then learn and come back for the win is just so fun to watch!

Those last matches against Juri were really impressive. Max got his ass handed to him at first, then thoroughly downloaded her to make a comeback. Really well played.
The way you adapt is admirable. I cant stress enough with fighting games people need to learn how to have fun even during a loss and you do just that. Take a lesson from every match and push ego aside. I love it. Cheers max 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Yep I drop that charged cannon spike into level 3 a little too often lol. But I’ve gotten more consistent with it

Just want to say I respect Max for many reasons, but the fact that Max uploads videos where he still loses is awesome.

Max does a really good job of overloading his opponents mental stack. He uses all of his moves all of the system mechanics. I was confused why he was getting away with certain things.

As a DeeJay main stuck in silver, seeing high level deejays is super helpful and fun.
Seeing Ken punch JP’s face in and yell SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP with the KO is the most satisfying thing

I think this game raised the level of all Street Fighter players, in all ranks, you have to become really good and learn a lot of crazy tech just to do fine in the game

@@dizzygunnerI mean I’m Ngl, I’m in plat as well. But plat is where most people are going to end up. And a lot of people will be able to get there by just knowing basic things. That’s why plat is where the grind actually starts, because there’s no longer any win streak bonus and you actually have to be good to get out of plat and into diamond.

Hey max. Insane matches! I just wanted to ask, how do you personally avoid tilt when playing ranked? Because I kind of struggle with tilt and it slows down my climbing
In my gaming experience in general unless you are really good it's better to strive for a few wins each day rather than try for massive win streaks. Since when you lose that win streaks you are eager to get it back and inevitably lose more than you gained.
Another way is to just fuck around in public lobbies to work off the tilt

I’ve noticed that I end up tilting faster the longer I play so I’ve set a timer for myself to just stop after a certain time and the ranked gains have never been higher.
I think the best way is to stop playing ranked for a little while take a breath and do something else.
In my case when I get tilted I try to learn ways to counter something that I lost to, so in a way the tilt is what fuels me to learn the game lol
I spend the vast majority of my time in battle hub if ranked tilts you save yourself the stress. I have about 5 hours in ranked and over 100 in battle hub it's been a game changer for me.

Question for SF6 players:
Is Lily bad or something? I have never seen her in any of Max' videos.
Not a pro or anything but I've watched a few tourneys and youtubers.
I personally dont think any character is "bad" in the game as in GGST Anji levels of bad, but Lily consistently places mid to low on everyones tier lists. And things can differ quite a bit when u compare Japanese pros to the west, no one can agree whose the strongest between Luke, Ken, Juri and sometimes DJ
From what I gather it seems she just doesn't have enough options compared everyone else, and any "tech" she does have can be countered by a lot of chars. I wouldnt put too much weight in pro tier lists tho, from below the top ranks its mostly just a matter of popularity. Climbing Ranked is different than tournaments after all

That first match up v Deejay was great, got smoked on the first, worked out his play style and then managed to come out on top. Let that be a lesson to everyone, always play the second match up, especially if you think your opponent is cheap, as working out counters to play styles and techniques will make you better.
As a deejay main? I wish my DI reacts were that quick. Max is like “all of his buttons are too quick to catch out” and I’m just over here getting slow-mo bopped for free 😢

My biggest complaint so far is the no contest rule. Everytime I start a new character in ranked I have to wade through the 10 gorillian ping warriors. I have to readjust to laggy game because they would have to agree to a tie in a situation they have an advantage.
So, I play Splatoon (yeah yeah, go ahead and laugh or whatever,) and I play in S Rank. Getting to S+ or X rank is a war of attrition at the best of times, but that's any ranked play for any game. High tier play is always interesting because it's either you're gonna watch the closest match in history, or you're gonna watch someone get absolutely ruined.
Also, I absolutely look at the wrong teams' bars during matches.....

I had a match yesterday where my opponent was only throw teching, mashing or dping on wakeup. Im only in silver rank how do i play around that playstyle.
The only real option he wasn’t usin was blockin/parryin😭 the best bet would be to walk up(pretendin to go for throw) then walk back just before he gets up(its called a shimmy), then punish him with a long reaching button(since his throw tech/mash will whiff). If he actually goes for the dp u will be blockin/it will whiff then u get a full combo punish. Id recommend labbin a good combo and practicin the whole “pretendin to go for grab then walkin back” stuff! Good luck bruv
Max's gamplay is very technical and on point. It's completely opposite side of how DSP plays sf6. Max's inputs are so clean and DSP mashes like a scrub. You can hear DSP mashing so hard.
Wasn't really interested in SF6 before this, but the disappearance of the FF16 video brought me here lol. Came for info on FF16 vid and stayed for the Street Fighter.
