    Korg: Let's make exciting new synths that build upon our past innovations, yet project the technology forward. Roland: Best we can do is a tiny impostor of a past classic with unusable controls.

    Thank you for the video! Amazing sounds! To be honest, I’m afraid to buy this because it looks so difficult to operate. I have a Minilogue XD which I love. Now I’m deciding between this, the Hydrasynth, the Argon 8, and the (old but great) Blofeld. Minilogue for bass, leads, and one of those for ambient pads. Suggestions from everyone are very welcome. Thanks again for the video!

      @@rationalthinker1 Im almost positive your totally wrong,how many hundreds of movies has omnisphere been used in?or for that matter any keyboard or instrument,if you create your own music and copyright it,it is not instrument exclusive,that is nuts,that means you could never record any stock presets on any instrument and claim the musicas your own whether it’s a Gibson guitar or Yamaha montage or korg kronos,you don’t have to be a huge music corporation to create music on an instrument,that is just stupid,that would be like Steinway suing billy Joel because he recorded a hit song using a Steinway,total b.s.

    It sounds great. I don't really understand it though. It has these "wave-patterns" or sequences, that are premade little sequence patterns that you can tweak and play along to? Is that a correct description? And you can create your own sequences too? But it has no drum sounds?

    • @MrSpasticdancer
      @MrSpasticdancer 3 года назад +3

      you can use a combination of samples and classic subtractive synthesis.
      basically you can use interesting noises, sound effects and instrument samples combined with wavetables and waveforms and then put them through subtractive filtering. its a little bit like the roland d50 but with way more different full length samples and stuff

    • @Jason75913
      @Jason75913 3 года назад

      @@MrSpasticdancer any modern rompler kills D-50, if we're talking about all the editable synths starting with MX49 at minimum and going up to Fantom, Kronos2, and Montage

    • @Jason75913
      @Jason75913 3 года назад

      @Жан Клон Yeah, if you want very specifically the D-50's sound, there's nothing like it. I doubt many people look for D-50 sound outside of folks specifically wanting D-50 patches and other vintage sounds.
      The EG's are unique in their structure, but the sweet spots depending on what kinds of sounds you want to make are limited. The filter is poop. Modulation options are bare bones. Only two single cycle waveforms, sort of like the Juno-106. The list goes on.
      What patch designs that can take advantage of the extra AD stages of the EGs are easily replicated in modern synths using a second patch/synth or automation or a modwheel with the right mod routings.
      Modern romplers have much less limitations, plus multi-timbrality and much greater sound pallettes, which makes D-50 suboptimal for general use, not something to go out and seek outside of niche uses or unless you already have one.

      @maccagrabme 3 года назад +3

      @@joonglegamer9898 Its hard to believe they allowed 4GB, unheard of if you are used to other manufacturers beginning with R who still havent put multisampling in their flagship desktop units. This really changes the whole nature of the synth imo as its like having a good multisampler built in and you can load up all your fav libraries and layer some really impressive sounds. I have a couple of issues with the software but its working and can live with the shortcomings until resolved but this is now one of my fav synths.

      @@maccagrabme It's free software, but the import possibility opens up a whole new world, if you're not satisfied with the limitation of the software sample editor, there's a superior piece of software called Sample Robot. It can help you create custom looping and compatible settings + import entire synthesizers including their settings, and exporting them to the likes of Yamaha Montage, Korg Wavestate etc. Just a tip.
