  • Showing the machine in action!
First impressions of the interior and exterior of the new Creality Falcon 2 Pro 60w laser now on pre-sale at Creality Falcon.
I’m not an affiliate but I am using the Falcon Pro 60w for tutorials to show off what this machine can do and received it at no cost from Creality to do so.
The machine is a heavy-duty diode laser packed with inclusions that really will give you so many options. I’ve tested timber, felt, velvet, anodized aluminum, acrylic and more on this one already and want to show it to you in action so you can make up your own minds.
With a 22/40/60w laser head and a bonus 1.6w for intricate engraving there’s so many possibilities.
Check out my socials for more examples of my adventures on the diode laser.

I’m passionate about showing what the machines can do after I put off buying a laser for years and feel like I’ve taken to it so easily. The Lightburn software is a one-off purchase $60AUD and is very try alike to using Silhouette Studio if you’re a crafter.
Tell me what you think. This isn’t the most polished video lol but I just wanted you to see it as it helps to see how they work when you’re making a decision about what laser to choose.
I also use a co2 laser so I have experience with both and am thrilled that you can start to make amazing items with just such a small investment with the Creality Falcon range compared to some of the machines out there.
That’s it from me. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe if you’d like to see more. I don’t blame you if you don’t! The camera is not my jam!!
    Happy Creating,
    The Crafty Socialite

Thanks for this video, I was just looking at this model.
I cut a lot of thin materials and I’m looking for a nice, tight fit, but also want something that isn’t too slow, so I’m thinking maybe the 22w is all I need. Although maybe for those times when speed is more important than fit tolerances, that 60w might be nice.
Anyhow, great video showing the laser in action

Thanks for the feedback. I also use a lot of thin materials around the 3-6mm range for my products too. I know many people think diodes are slow lasers but I’ve been impressed with what the 22w is capable of.
Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment and hope you enjoy the Falcon!

Hi Heidi, thanks for making this video. I'm really looking forward to how easy it is to fit the rotary as this will be a deal changer for me and many others. If Creality had listened to it's customer base instead of rushing the 60w out, there were a few modifications that could have been done cheaply to make this a very special laser but alas, they've now not only been beaten on power by other manufacturers but also on features (auto focus to name just one), and price. The Ikier 70w is $500 less.

I’m interested to get the rotary set up and it will be soon. I’m wanting to add the feet and disable the drawer as I use my standard 22w with timber longer than the unit itself 😅
I’ve not had experience with Ikier but interesting they’ve gone to a 70w. I don’t cut overly thick items in general so will be interested to see how people utilize the higher 60w power for projects.

And the Ikier has a powered z-axis that can be controlled by Lightburn that allows you to lower the laser by small increments after each pass to be able to cut more efficiently and with less charring on the sides. Both are really good lasers, I may just wait till Christmas to see what each company introduces as their Version 2's. I have a 10W Diode and a Fiber laser that will keep me busy in the meantime.

The fiber lasers really interest me! I’m interested to see what you think of the Pro. I do use the focusing tool and also over focus 1-2mm for a few engraves such as acrylic to get a smooth finish. I do like the ability to play around with the focus and have done a ramp test on mine to see my optimal focal point too as every machine can be slightly different.

    Great video…nice job. 😊
Would love to see you do a video showing detailed engraving and detailed cutting at 22W, 40W and 60W, like you would need for let’s say earrings . Personally, if I purchase this laser I would probably never use the 1.6W laser module, as I feel having to switch modules after engraving to the more powerful one would mess up positioning.

I already own the Falcon 22w laser and love the engrave quality on that. The spot size is definitely larger for the 40 and 60w so I wouldn’t recommend engraving at the 40w for anything too detailed other than blocks of engrave. Even the suggested parameters basically say to move down to the 22w for engraving. The block text on the aluminum wasn’t bad but you could see a difference.
I will test out the 1.6 w but for engraving in a business I’m not sure the 1.6w will offer time efficiency but would no doubt give a sensational result. Agree, my instinct is the laser will be in a different spot if you were to change the heads over but I will test that!

@@TheCraftySocialite thank you for the information! I currently have a 10W diode with a small 0.08mm x 0.08mm spot size and I can create some intricate score marks and cut some pretty intricate designs, I just want to make sure I can achieve the same quality with the 22W setting. Maybe you can make a video showing intricate cuts/designs in the 22W mode?
