Just ordered based in part on your review and looking forward to it. One main reason was that I have a crawling and climbing baby at home, and I like that the vacuum docks completely into the base and there are no loose water bins or handles.
This does have all of the typical settings of other robots but in order to see them you need to turn off the freo mode. Once you do that, you can set the suction power, how many times it will clean the area and if you want a standard or deep clean. You should try setting it to the most powerful setting, even then it's still pretty quiet. I heard an interview with the company that was done at the CES show earlier this year and they talked about some of their decisions for the design. The reasons they didn't want to use a self empty bin were because they can be loud when they empty and the path that the dust travels through in order to reach the bag can get cloged requiring the docking station to be disassembled. I do think using the disposable bag in the robot itself is a great idea, you still get all of the benefits of a bag without the loud sound. The reason they did not use a camera on the robot was because of privacy concerns. Apparently there are laws in some countries, especially in the European Union related to this, and many people don't want a robot with a camera. I'm fine with this since I disable the obstacle avoidance on the robots I have that have this feature. Interestingly there is no setting that I know of in the app to disable the obstacle avoidance on this robot, it's just part of the navigation system I guess. I do think it's well made and well designed and I'm really happy with it.
I just got mine yesterday, so far I really like it. I don't mind that it doesn't self empty since it can use dispostable dust bags, that's just as good, the idea is not to have to empty a bagless dust bin and have dust going all over everything. It also does a great job mopping, I think Narwal wanted to design something different than what the other companies are doing.
Yours is the review that led me to buying this a few months ago. Now that they’re coming out with the Z, are you going to test this too? I have pets and recently had a major pet accident snafu with the X Ultra, so I think the Z with its cameras is an imminent investment for me. If I’m being honest, I like the look of the X’s base station better though!
Are the muddy paw prints the same in the other videos? Was watching your video on Roborock QRevo MaxV and that one struggled to clean the muddy paw prints, but it looked more drier…wondering if they were all the same paw prints in which case this one did a better job

does it have onboard water tank?
@vishkumar it does not but i’ve found this to not be a problem because the water doesn’t go bad in the tank i think it’s pretty good
