Lindossssss
Love it what size lid pint or half pint
Sorry it's taking me so long to respond. The lid is a universal lid, about 2.76" for a half pint jar. Hope that helps! Happy crafting!
Than you 😘 can I do the hat the same way you did the bear? It just does not to be cut but it would be easier and faster?
Thank you! I'm not sure. It's worth a try. See if it works for you. Maybe you can teach me something 🙂 also if you are able to make a pom pom small enough for the top of the hat, I think that would look really good
I have watched so many yarn gnome videos and I’ll say, this is the most detailed and explanatory video so far!!! You made this tutorial super easy to follow!!! Thanks so much!!! But how big was the cardboard circle for the pompoms?
Thank you so much for the kind words! I try to make my videos with clear details so that even those who are not as crafty can follow.
As for the pompom form. I used the top of a regular sized Mason jar lid. I'm not sure the dimensions...maybe 3 inches. The pompom it's is probably 1.5 inches. The center was the width of the electrical tape which is probably an inch. Hopefully that helps. You can really use whatever you have to make a circle and then trim it to fit.
@@TheTravelingCraneWoodcraftMore thank you!!! You replied just in time for I am making them right now!!!
@@mariagev07 oooo! I'd love to see!
What size canning jar lid?? To make the Pom Pom.??
I used a standard size Mason jar. Not sure how big that is. But it's a common size
What size wooden bead did you use?
I want to say it was an 8mm bead. But whatever looks best, I would do with that
What did you use for the nose
I had a wooden bead on hand, but you can use anything really
What thickness of yarn? need find equivalent in UK that brand not available here.
Hi there! Okay, so what I used is considered a medium (4) yarn. That is how it's labeled in the US. So not thin or bulky yarn. On the packaging it says use with a 5.5mm hook. If that helps.
Tku did a bit of sleuthing in UK your Worsted weight is equivalent UK Aran weight which is slightly thicker than what I have the most of... lol
How do you keep the yarn for the head from just falling apart once you cut it around the cardboard.
For me, I had to be really careful after I did the cut so everything wouldn't just fall out, using the cardboard guide as "holders" while I tied another string around all the cut yarn. Just take your time and you shouldn't have any issues of stuff falling out 🙂
I am having alot of trouble.. it keeps falling.. once I tie it, if I shake it pieces out then also..
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong 😕
Well, that's not good. Maybe, if you have small rubber bands, you can use that?
What is the nose made out of?
They are wooden beads. I got these at Michael's
What size wooden bead?
I want to say 8mm size beads for the noses. Nothing smaller for this size gnome
What size wood beads are you using?
I want to say 8 or 6 mm beads I think. 6mm probably. I can send you a link to what I got, if you would like

You're welcome and Happy New Year!
what size are the gnomes nose please
I really didn't measure. I just did what ever looked good for the face size. I want to say it was an 8mm bead. 🙂 hope that helps
what size wooden bead
Hi there! I want to say they were 8mm or 10mm beads. The size you would use if you were making a bracelet. But any size you want to use would be fine. The wooden beads, I got from Amazon, but may have them at a craft store.
What size circle for pompom
With the form I made, they were about 2 inches, give or take. You can order pompom makers on Amazon and make any size you like
Size circle for pom pom outside diameter is 2 inches. What size is inner circle?
@Grandma Cindy for the pompom for I made, I used a standard Mason jar lid and for the inner circle, I used the inside hole of the electrical tape I had on hand. Not sure what size that is...maybe less than 1/5 inch.
I love these so much. Went a little to fast t
Thanks! Getting the video length exactly right is tough. Don't want it to be too slow where it gets boring or too fast so you don't know what's going on LOL! If you have any questions on anything, please don't hesitate to ask me. Thanks again for watching!
I don't have the material 😡😡
😕 well, that sucks.
Showed this to my husband, he thinks u should use a zip-tie and not a rubber band, and just hot glue it so it won't get smaller. Turn it inside out so the bump from the zip-tie is on the inside. Overall he thinks they r cute and would b fun to make. Pretty soon I will have a gnome infestation.....
I’m aww a
日本語にしてください
I'm not sure how to do that, but I will try
okay. I think you can now choose Japanese subtitles for this video. I tried it and it worked on my end. please let me know if it worked. Thank you for watching!
