LQ9’s rock…i have a 11.15:1 compression LS3 headed 370” LQ9 in my nova with a 2.45” pullied LSA supercharger and 220/230 cam with a built 4l65e and 3.42 posi…its a blast to drive but im building a 408 to put in it that way i can put the 370” LQ9 into my vortech supercharged 5.3 swb fleet ‘73 c10
Have you had any rubbing issues running those 275/60/15s in the front? What’s the wheel specs as far as width/ backspace? They look perfect with the 4/6
Not really a ton of issues. It does rub some when turning left but I don't have a problem going over normal road conditions or driveways etc. They are 15x8 but I can't remember the BS.
Hey brotha - beautiful truck. It’s a huge inspiration to my build. Can I ask, where did you get the headlights? Are they direct swap or did you just measure stock lights and find something aftermarket LED that was made for something else and just repurposed?
I got them from either Amazon or Ebay. They fit in the stock buckets but I had to figure put the wiring and repin the stock harness and swap wires around
Been working on pretty much same build except im going carbed 408 lq9 worked over 243 heads heads and turbo 400 i threw all that fuel injection shit in the trash runs damn strong and sounds good with the widows.
Yea, truck runs mid 12s on motor with stock CI and stock 243s. Depending on the cam that motor of yours would make around 75-80 more with the extra cubes and head flow
@@jnork5005 im really impressed with the LS series motors ive always ran big blocks specifically 496s and these built 6 liters run damn near as good for alot less investment.
@James Underdal then with some boost added it's even better because of the cylinder head design. My dad has a 6.0, stock headed 243 motor on E85 with 14psi it makes 800whp through a 400

@@jnork5005 Just called Black Widow and they said the Race Venom would give me a mellow rumble down low but sound raspy like a Nascar when I get on it.

I know it's been a year, but I like the 17's much better on this truck. I just ordered some 17x8 with 225/60/17 rear and 215 55 17 in the front. Not sure what it will look like. Hoping for the best though
I hope you like it, homie. I'm probably going to get a drag pack for it after I finish up this 6 speed swap. 15x10 rear and 17x7 front. I like this for what it costs and it puts off an OEM vibe because of the center caps
@jnork5005 nice! I'm keeping my 15x10's for special occasions. Got some 555si's for Tucson and asr. Probably be ready for September..got lots of front end work and lowering of center of gravity coming up.
Stock 243 that were freshened up. I don't plan to dyno it but I estimate 390-400 rwhp through the auto based on the ET it ran at the track. 4600lb with me and a full tank of gas. 12.80s
It's not hard. I run a Dirty Dingo bracket and pulley setup that keeps the OEM Pancake style compressor. I kept slinging the belt so for now I have it removed until I figure out what I want to do. Thinking about going with Vintage Air instead.
@@MacStrengthCo 4/6 drop. 2" drop spindles up front with OEM springs and a coil cut. Flip kit in the rear with Assassin Trac Bars. Little MFG rear disc conversion on the rear as well.
Nothing better than being able to go out and start up your own build. Nothing sounds sweeter. Love the truck, it's what I like.
Thanks man. I appreciate that
What black widows
Very nice! Nice to see others that do all the work themselves.
@@dtperformance256 checkout my new video. I built a custom turbo kit for it over the last few months

They really sound great.
What black widow s thx

I love how the truck sounds, only a few trucks like that. Need a video running the truck
I'll make one after I finish tune it. Should have a track day coming up in March. Maybe I'll get some footage.

Trying to decide for myself lol
