    People need to stop believing everything that they here on blackfish. Many people have come to find out that the majority of the movie was a big lie and they twisted information around to get what they want. IF YOU RELEASE THESE ANIMALS IT WILL DO MORE HARM TO THEM. SEA-PENS WOULD ONLY STRESS THE ANIMALS OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT USE TO THAT. BECAUSE SEAWORLD TRATS THEM WITH THE UPMOST RESPECT AND CARE. Those animals belong under the care of man!

      Sea world rules You're doubting wild animals dealing with other wild predators that are in their surrounding environment. These killer whales could adapt to anything in a thousand years if humans didn't keep dragging them out of their habitat. Why else are they in the ocean? NO NEED TO FUCKING DRAG THEM OUT, LET THEM ADAPT FUCK FACE.

    • @oneocean111
      @oneocean111 10 лет назад +4

      First of all it's entertained. Second most of these whales (about 95% of them) were born at SeaWorld, so they don't know what "natural" is. The fish they feed them is to suit their body weight, and an average amount of food that a regular orca would eat everyday. One of the trainers even said they feed one of their whales salmon, which is a big fish.

      these orcas will stress even if they were born in captivity dumbass! thats like saying if a horse is born in a small barn and lived its life in the barn will be OK AND HEALTHY, sure it can have human care, food and medicine,

      but understand this shit will happen again and its not the orcas fault but people still sugar coat things saying that well it wont happen again. but it will.

    Since these whales cannot be freed (it would kill them), put the trainers back in the water with the and at least make it a good show. Who wants to see whales jumping around in a pool? The only cool part of the show is the trainer interaction in the water.

  • @TheTrainSimGuyI
    @TheTrainSimGuyI 10 лет назад

    Its apparent from reading comments and watching videos is that having orcas in captivity is wrong. But this isn't a problem that we can simply fix by crying "free the whales". 95% of all captive orcas where born in captivity. Seaworld is the only life they know and releasing them into the wild could be more destructive than keeping them in captivity. A great film and reference to this point is 'The Shawshank Redemption" where an inmate called Brooks is paroled, but cannot adjust to the outside world after fifty years in prison and hangs himself. Another point of reference to look at is the story of Keiko, the orca who stared in the Free Willy films. He was released into the wild in 2001, but died in 2003 from Pneumonia. We must carefully consider the future of captive orcas and what effect release might have on them. We know these animals are very intelligent, but we musn't claim our decisions to be the best for them, especially when they can't openly express their own desires.

  • @NorthernSoul35
    @NorthernSoul35 10 лет назад +5

    Wild animals do not belong in captivity for entertainment or "education". If they're part of a breading program or rehabilitation program with the end goal of releasing the animals back into the wild, that is an acceptable function of temporary captivity. But anything beyond that is simply wrong. And as for the animals already in captivity, they could either be released back into the wild, or if they're unfit for that environment, they could be put in open ocean pens so they could live out the rest of their lives as close to nature as possible. Anyone who argues these points is on the wrong side of history. There have been many forms of exploitation of living beings on our planet, and each has died away as a by-product of a flawed period in our evolution. Future generations will look back on this behaviour with the same distaste as we look back on slavery. Shame on you if you think this is acceptable.

      I Used To Work At SeaWorld, For Your Information, ALL Of The Animals Inside SeaWorld Were Born,Bred And Raised Inside SeaWorld, 99.9 % Of These Animals Have NEVER Been Wild, And WOULD NOT Survive If They Were Released Into The Wild....SeaWorld Has State Of The Art Medical Facilities And Training Facilities....You Are Only Commenting On What Your Eyes See, You HAVE NO Idea What Goes On Behind The Scenes.....SeaWorld Is Also Involved In Worldwide Preservation Efforts For All Mammals On Land Or Sea....On Top Of All This, All The Trainers/Handlers Have A Min Of 8-10 Years College And 5-10 Years Work Experience To Even Be Qualified To Work There As A Trainer/Handler....So Before You Draw Your Own Conclusions On SeaWorld, Get Your Facts Aligned....By The Way SeaWorld Receives NO Profit From Tickets Sales,Etc....Anhesiuer-Busch (Who Owns The Park Does)....They Receive 100% Of ALL Profits, Any Money SeaWorld Receives Is Via Private Donations/Federal Funding

    • @NorthernSoul35
      @NorthernSoul35 10 лет назад +1

      I appreciate your perspective Jason, but it's incorrect. Just because these animals were born into captivity doesn't mean they aren't wild animals with needs that captivity can't support. Domesticated animals have undergone long processes of selective breeding over many generations to change the species at a genetic level, in order to make them better suited for captivity and human possession. This process has not happened with the cetaceans in the Seaworld Parks, nor should it. So, the animals that were born in Seaworld Parks are very much still, by definition, wild animals and some of them can be released back into the open ocean, and those that can't, should be release into open ocean pens so they can live out the rest of their lives with some sense of the nature they belong to.

      99.9% eh? Sounds like you have been brainwashed by your employer too. This means Sea World has bred at least 1000 cetaceans successfully in captivity (they haven't btw) and captured only one from the wild. Read your statement back to yourself slowly and apply elementary school mathematics along the way. It is nonsensical BS! Ok sure these animals did originate in the ocean. Keep in mind about 95% of the orcas and animals at SeaWorld are born there. In those terms SeaWorld isn't taking the freedom of any animal. The real ignorant people are like you, who watch one movie and think they know everything about SeaWorld. I'd bet you haven't even went in full depth of what really happens behind the scenes at SeaWorld. If i were to be stuck in a room for the rest of my life with people i could relate with, and on top of that more people who have to play with me, feed me the perfect amount of food, and only ask me to do a couple of favors for 20 minutes i certainly wouldn't mind.

  • @WildBillKMan

    Look carefully at those dorsal fins at 13:18. They are on the verge of collapsing (at 21:46 you can see a fully collapsed one) due to prolonged sun exposure which is what happens to all captive orcas unless they are freed soon enough! After watching the hit film Blackfish from last year how can anyone possibly feel any differently than to support the end of captivity and the release of all animals? To hear all those ignorant humans cheering at 21:43 as those helpless animals come out of the water and act silly knowing they'll be mistreated otherwise sickens me seriously!

    • @oneocean111
      @oneocean111 10 лет назад +6

      No scientist or any one knows how the dorsal fins collapse. We only have our theories to support the claims we make. I do agree that the amount of surface time effects the dorsal fin collapsing, but sending the orcas back into the wild won't straighten the dorsal fin back up. If anything sending the orca back into the wild will only stress them and eventually kill them from exposure to unknown chemicals and creatures in the water. On top of that you just want the animal to be set free so you can feel good before going to bed? Now that really sickens me seriously!

    • @WildBillKMan
      @WildBillKMan 10 лет назад +2

      Judging by that user name I'd say you must be the spokesperson for this senseless show! Are you a scientist yourself? I know no one at Sea World is and we all have incredible explanations for how dorsal fins collapse which need I remind you is always seen in captivity and less than 1% of the time in the wild. Read about Keeko the killer whale from Free Willy and how that whale was helped with great effort and success despite the hazards of being released back into native habitat! What needs to happen at this point is for the breeding of these whales in captivity to be halted permanently and those still in captivity to be given a far more normal environment to live out the rest of their days. Seeing the ways they act in videos like this really sickens me seriously knowing that they're only doing it in order to avoid further trauma from our race! How can you go to bed knowing this is happening? Also if you're sure nobody out there knows how dorsal fins collapse how do you know there's no way for them to restore to their natural state?

    • @oneocean111
      @oneocean111 10 лет назад +6

      WildBillKMan
      I am not a spokesperson for the show let alone work at seaworld, nor a scientist. I did do a lot of research on Keiko's story as he was one of my favorite orcas as a child. They did manage to release keiko back into the ocean, but that did not convert him into a "wild" orca. He still came back to people and wanted to return to the sea pen. Without Parks and aquariums like these i assure you there would be a decrease of interest of the ocean and the wildlife that lives there. So many people get impacted at seeing a killer whale so up close or even a manta ray. There is nothing in a killer whale dorsal fin that supports it. Once it falls it falls nothing can bring it back. I'm sure you didn't see Keiko's dorsal fin restoring when he was "released" back into the ocean.

    Sadly the baby orca will be taken away from it's mother and sold to another park. This is the heartbreaking reality of this disgusting entertainment. Orcas live in pods and never leave their family unit. This business is heartbreaking and tragic. It should be illegal to keep these beautiful and intelligent animals in captivities. Depriving them of food so they will entertain us. If you want to be entertained by these beautiful animals, then take a boat out into the ocean and watch them in their natural environment, in family pods. In this video, you don't get to see them taking the baby away from its mother. The mother having a nervous breakdown and crying out for her baby. Or the baby crying for its mother. They keep all of that fun for after hours, when the park is closed. Please do not buy a ticket to these parks and encourage this industry to exist….. Have mercy and be a voice for these wonderful animals.
