In 1 year almost I'll hopefully be a French Passer by using your helpful lessons !!!!!!!!!!
Like, if you guys think that Alexa is the best French Teacher !!!!!

Although there are some general rules to determine feminine and masculine, as taught in Alexa's video, I suggest that, whenever you learn a new French vocabulary word, learn it ALONG WITH its gender. For example:
1/ If you look a translation of a word from your language to French in the dictionary, ALWAYS look the gender (m.) or (f.).
2/ Likewise, if a person (teacher or else) tells how an object is called in French, think to ask wether it is masculine or feminine. DO not be satisfied with the word only.
2/ If you hear words from a native speaker or read these words, you may "guess" the gender of a specific word by paying attention to the use of definite or indefinite article (which you are now able to do thanks to Alexa's lesson). If you hear or see "une" or "la" attached to a word, you know this word is feminine. If you hear or see "un" or "le" attached to a word, you know this word is masculine.
Again, you should ALWAYS learn a French word AND its gender. If not, I would say that you learnt half the word ! That's what I say to my own students. Courage! Great video Alexa ! I just wanted to add some additional tips. :-)
Alexa, only recently did I discover your lessons and now I am up to number eight. Your accent is clear, your speed is perfect and the amount of material in one lesson is just right for an 82-year-old man. I learned French at school and thought it was similar to medicine, tasting horrible but somehow making the victim better. It was a shock to find, on my first visit to France in my teens, that people spoke the language to babies, cats and dogs. Nobody had ever explained to me that it was a national language!
Merci beaucoup alexa I love your vedios My teacher is a bad explainer😇😇

YOU MADE ME LOVE FRENCH
You are amazing Alexa... Thanks for your beautiful French lessons!
Merci beaucoup, Alexa, mon cher professeur en français. Vous êtes le meilleure de tous. Sincèrement merci d’un étudiant chinois.
I just realized I already know the gender of all nouns in French. My first language is Portuguese. I've learned French listening you speaking english, so I wasn't aware about this similarity. The genders are the same for both languages. If I know the meaning of a french word in Portuguese, I'll able to know the gender in French. It's much more complicated for who just speaks English. Basically, In English we just use gender rules for pronouns (possessive, object and etc).
just like me XD
Basically, it's easier to find out the french gender if: you're a Portuguese speaker and have some notion of English in general.
Well, same for spanish speakers. Even my first language is mandarin, also speak spanish.
I’m also kinda privileged when it comes to learning French since Persian’s my first language, we may not have masculine or feminine versions of each word but we have loads of words in common.
What can be kinda tricky is the fact that when i sometimes see a word in french ik I’ve heard it before in either of the languages ik( Persian, English, Arabic & a little German) but i can’t quite put my finger on it haha, I just get bombarded by my brain trying to guess which language it’s most similar to.
Thank you! Your lesson is much better structured and you explain so we'll , far better than the classes I am taking from AF.
Best teacher in the world :) Great in explaining the technicalities of French. I admire you very much! Kudos Alexa😍
Am really comfortable in following your lessons and thank you very much. Merci beaucoup

I just found your channel and I'm loving it so hard because I'm trying to learn French by myself and I find pretty easy to understand the articles because I speak Spanish as well, isn't that weird?
Alexa, your the best french teacher that i ever seen in my life. Your tutorials helped me so much in my exams.
Your lesson are amazing and the way you are teaching is awesome. You are so sweet. Thanks a lot !
Hey Alexa! Learning a lot! Just want to say that my first language it’s Spanish and the indefinite articles are exactly the same! Didn’t realize till now that I don’t really know how i know which word uses un or una (spanish for une) 👀 i guess it’s something you learn with experience and I’m SO glad I don’t have to 😂
that is not true, i know it since i am from nicaragua
When to use le and un as both of them are used before a masculine noun.
It's the same logic as le with the and in with a
Le is definitive, as in 'the' whereas un is a/an.
Very good explanation thanks Alexa!!!
I love her!!! sweetest teacher of all

Hey Alexa um i have a question i hope you could answer: What if your word has an s at the end but you want to make it plural, how do you do that?
Annemary Boless I’ll just add another s😂
Add es
you don't add any - s you just leave it like that and change the article to plural
hope i answered your doubt
thank you for your useful and nice lessons! You are a good teacher!
