An era with a lot of interesting and different phones - Samsung Galaxy S5, Apple iPhone 5s, Sony Xperia Z2, LG G3, Google Nexus, Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen)
I was using a BlackBerry at the time but did have lustful eyes for these phones. If they remade this phone with a 9:18 display and mid-range specs - I would pounce on it!
Really miss the times back when companies try to really outshine each other with their own identity and design. not just the same slab of black screen, a punchole camera and the same but "different" camera layouts. Sad to see HTC gone
I'm a poor guy, but did love the HTC front facing stereo speakers. I did buy the cheaper plastic case 6 model. Right after my Moto x pure or before. Not sure which. But the Moto x pure with it's front facing stereo speakers was better sounding than the HTC. I was hooked on front facing stereo speakers and will go to whatever I can afford to have one. I bought a brand new Alcatel 4s, with front facing stereo speakers. Great phone but within a year plus, it started screwing up. Rebooting without a warning and then just dying for no reason. Then I switched to the pixel 2 XL and ran it for 2 years then it started shutting down when I plugged in the charger. Now I'm into a Pixel 3 XL, have had it 3 years now and it's the best speaker performance so far. Battery is not lasting more than 4 plus hours screen on time, but with mild use gets me through a whole day plus. But I'm stuck on Android 12. I'd like to move up but can't see anything I like and afford except the Xperia phones. Great performance, great screen and great front facing stereo speakers. Whoever said in your video, I don't know why all phones don't have them, best question ever. Why? They boast, high quality screens. Then stick the bottom speaker where it gets covered all the time. Crazy. Thanks for the reminder about HTC. Even their newer stuff eliminated the front facing bottom speaker and put it on the bottom. They caved as well. Sucks. Maybe moving from Pixel to Sony, whenever I find a decent deal for the one I want. Thanks 👍👍
I always used iPhone, then my i4 broke down, so I bought HTC One X, my one and only android, very good at that time. But after that i6 and so on... but M8 was very very very tempting. I still wonder if I didnt return to iphjone and tried m8 if I stayed on android...
HTC with their Ones, LG with their Gs, Sony with their Zs, Samsung with their Ss. oh what a time it was lol

@@NerdyThrowbackTech don't forget Nokia with their Lumias! Windows phone was flawed but somehow it's nostalgic to use
I had an m7 get ran over in the street. Found it next morning. Half the screen was crushed, half still flawless. STILL WORKED.
When I was younger, I wanted so much this phone 😍
The thing about older smartphones is the ergonomics. They just felt so nice in the hand.
Still was one of my favorite phones. I wish mine was still working
as google bought the smartphone team of HTC, you can say that the modern day pixel phones are descendants of HTC flagship series

This was my Dad's FIRST Smartphone
Back in the days
This meant high class stuff
Man I feel sad. HTC was in a class of it's own. So sad that I never got the chance to buy one 😢
I had the HTC 1 Remix. Damn!! That was a great phone. I preferred that over the iPhone and Samsung.

I loved my red M7 and my M9
ZTE Axon 7 was a good phone with loud speakers too.
Exactly, one of the best phones ive ever had!
@@bjdeboy my daughter bit the corner of the screen when she was teething, cracked the screen, she's nearly 5 now
True classic

I love this! Do a Motorala Droid series too.

I remember having a rooted htc m8😭 i miss that phone
I liked my HTC m8
I have m9 but battery is dead :) :(
Why do new phones bother with back glass panels. Metal is much better
