If you think about, since jaune’s sword is made partially of phyrha’s gold, not only did penny get killed by phyrha twice, but phyrha herself also got killed by cinder twice

She’s previously told Ruby she wanted to give it to her, but in that moment she chose winter because Ruby had fallen and Penny would assume that meant death. It also makes me worried for Winter and Raven considering that’s 2 maidens with direct ties to a main character

I cried as well. I was just recovering when later in the song, the phrase, "Is this what 'all the feels means'," came in and I giggled then started crying again.
We watched Penny die a second(and final) time and RT gives a happy song about her friendship with Ruby right after. I'm messed up on so many levels it's not even funny.
Yeah, it was brutal finally getting Penny's song after she dies. Guess they wanted it to be her swan song.

What makes me feel sad about this is the last thing Penny said to her father was "I love you." And he hasn't heard from her since and sadly never will.

Honestly, as far as last words go, "I love you" is pretty high on the list of things one could say to their parent before dying. Better that than "what's that noise?" or "no, I already took it out."

Also, going further down this rabbit-hole, Jaune had incorporated elements of Pyrrha's gear into his own. Cinder broke Pyrrha's blade twice, Pyrrha's blade killed Penny.
I think irony would be if Cinder couldn't break his sword or if he broke hers... I dunno... This is more like a coincidence or something... I guess it might be irony, but usually irony is the opposite of what you might expect... Like if you tell someone else not to trip, but then trip yourself... Kinda like sarcasm, but in reality form... I'm probably describing it poorly/incorrectly... Oh well...

If order of falls accounts to it. Jaune might be the one to bury Penny. While I don't think he should be broken in the same way Ruby might, I'd like to see a daker, more gruff version of him. He still about his friends and family, more than ever, in fact. But he probably lets his hair grow out a little more, probably grows out a beard, that'll be cool. Hell, separated from his team, it might be possible he becomes Qrow 2.0. A lone wolf, a man who's lost too much...

i hope she gets an arc. the writers focused a lot on her compared to the other ace ops, i feel like even clover didnt get as much focus as harriet. Now her character has so much potential, and i would be so sad if they abandoned it
@@andrewc988 I agree. Actually its sad people are overly cruel saying she deserves death being stubborn but are the same ones who easily forgave Qrow working with Tyrion. She never had a chance to work through her grief so she ignored it and kept working. I just find her feelings valid but back on the subject Watts probably would see nothing to gain activating it in a if Harriet didn't go out her way to bring it over Mantle. Where it was originally was a cleared-out military base.

I know this comment is from awhile ago but I think that this event WAS the end of her arc, at least as far as we'll see it. I doubt we'll see the ace ops much after this volume, but I think we focused on Harriet progressively seeing her grief pushing her to do these actions, and at the end of her arc she sees what her decisions lead to (not that it was entirely her fault, but that her pushing through with the will to follow authority over reason lead to this dangerous situation)
While I am a little bummed about losing my favorite RWBY reactor, I am so proud and happy for you with this new opportunity. It tells me that vol 9 will be in good hands.
Jaune will be the final arbitrartor of Cinder's fate. She ended the life of Pyrrha, impaled his crush, facilitated the events that led to him ending the new life of a friend, and shattered his ancestral sword augmented with the armor of his fallen comrade, mentor, and unrequited love interest. Jaune will be the end of Cinder.

I just realized this is a VERY big win for cinder, she took out basically everyone who was a problem for her, the only thing she lost was the maiden power
And you can't really "lose" something you never had in the first place - she failed to _become_ a double-Maiden, but she achieved pretty much everything else that she'd set out for herself since V4.
The thing with the maiden power though is that they are only of real use to Cinder herself, and a bit to Salem for the other side too not have them, but the Winter

I think that Salem not only knows that Cinder fully lied, but ultimately she doesn't care. She only wants the relics and she has them. She has Beacon locked down, and is headed to the last relic that's free, and time is the biggest ally she has. She could simply wait till the lamp is ready for a new question to get the last relic at beacon. Salem plans to kill everyone anyway, so it's no big deal to her. Of all the things though, I just want to give a spotlight on the sheer GROWTH of Jaune. From volume 1 till now, amazing. Ozpin was right. Even at the end, he was holding off Cinder far more than ever before. Lastly, congratulations on becoming a part of CRWBY. RT is ongoing because it's inspiring new animators like you. You are a part of the reason that RWBY is so loved and gotten so deep over the years. You were an amazing reactor, and I would still love to not see a reaction video per se, but review videos of the episodes after volume nine is done. How it all works together, what you worked on, the parts your love, etc

Huge, huge congratulations Arryn. You've been one of my favorite reactors since I first got into RWBY, and I'm sad to see your reactions go, but couldn't be happier about the reason for it. Honestly, I would still watch you do breakdowns of the episodes you've worked on, because your insights into the animation process have always been fascinating and it'd be super cool to see the "hey, I worked on this bit!" aspect. But I also understand that you'll obviously have a lot more on your plate going forward, so that may not be possible. Just know that you are a huge inspiration to us all!

I started watching you with Volume 4 and you easily became one of my favorite reactors for this series, someone whose reactions I looked forward to just as much as the episodes themselves. Appologies in advanced for the long near essay of a comment but there is so much to say, one the episode and your reaction were great as always. Second is that as someone who found you through your RWBY volume 4 reactions it is awesome that you have come so far over the years since and will now be animating for the next volume is super exciting and I am so happy for you having that oprotunity. Third I knew that you were a person I wanted to see grow after seeing your reaction to volume 4 chapter 2, the video that I resonated with and have watched more than any video from any creator that I follow, because in that reaction you bore your emotions for all to see and showed just how much passion you have for this series as well as how powerful writing and animation can be, something I already knew but was further reminded by seeing you cry over a moment of animation that even to this day is a scene that always makes me cry with every rewatch because of how powerful and heartwretching the moment is. When I saw that reaction and learned that you would be persuing animation I was so excited because you can see the power a work of animation can have, and knowing that I know that you will continue to do amazing things with animation and I truly cannot wait to see what work of animation you will create that will give a feeling of raw and powerful emotions that inspires others just as this animation inspired you. Cinder used the staff to death trap Watts. The floodwaters were likely created by the energy put off by the impact of Atlas into Mantle causing a bunch of snow melting.
I think one of Qrow's lines from Volume 7 sums up my thoughts perfectly on you becoming a junior animator for RWBY Volume 9. "Geez guys, lighten up a little, enjoy yourselves for a change, you earned it." Seriously though, a humongous congratulations to you, you've gone from being a fan and reactor of RWBY to being a part of it's production, and I can't wait to see what you contribute to Volume 9.
So with how this all went down. I'm now more set than ever in my belief that we're 2/3 of the way through the series. This was the end of the second act, the Empire Strikes Back of RWBY. The villians have more power and resources than ever, the heroes are scattered and broken, and everything seems darker. Now how long the third act will be IDK, personally I'm thinking that it'll be 4-6 more volumes.
We’ve been at about 3 volumes per region so far (give or take) So reaching Vacuo at the end of V9 would check out, and the story ending proper somewhere near V12/13

Yeah, this made me happy that she got to choose who to give her powers to and that she was happy to give it to a friend.
@@sierramccutchen3531 but sad that she thought ruby was dead when she died. She’s previously told Ruby she wanted to give it to her, but in that moment she chose winter because Ruby had fallen and Penny would assume that meant death.
It also makes me worried for Winter and Raven considering that’s 2 maidens with direct ties to a main character
Combine that with the finale song and you have a satisfying ending

We watched Penny die a second(and final) time and RT gives a happy song about her friendship with Ruby right after.

Yeah, it was brutal finally getting Penny's song after she dies. Guess they wanted it to be her swan song.
What makes me feel sad about this is the last thing Penny said to her father was "I love you." And he hasn't heard from her since and sadly never will.

Harriet's scream did it for me...she finally saw the consequences of her blind loyalty...her being the cause of a friend's death

If order of falls accounts to it. Jaune might be the one to bury Penny. While I don't think he should be broken in the same way Ruby might, I'd like to see a daker, more gruff version of him. He still about his friends and family, more than ever, in fact. But he probably lets his hair grow out a little more, probably grows out a beard, that'll be cool. Hell, separated from his team, it might be possible he becomes Qrow 2.0. A lone wolf, a man who's lost too much...

Harriet's scream always hit differently. Her arc will be a treat being actual the blame for a friends death. If she has an arc at all.
i hope she gets an arc. the writers focused a lot on her compared to the other ace ops, i feel like even clover didnt get as much focus as harriet. Now her character has so much potential, and i would be so sad if they abandoned it
I don’t think she’s to blame for vines death per say. She’s a factor, putting them in that situation, but Watt’s pulled the trigger.
@@andrewc988 I agree. Actually its sad people are overly cruel saying she deserves death being stubborn but are the same ones who easily forgave Qrow working with Tyrion. She never had a chance to work through her grief so she ignored it and kept working. I just find her feelings valid
but back on the subject Watts probably would see nothing to gain activating it in a if Harriet didn't go out her way to bring it over Mantle. Where it was originally was a cleared-out military base.

I know this comment is from awhile ago but I think that this event WAS the end of her arc, at least as far as we'll see it. I doubt we'll see the ace ops much after this volume, but I think we focused on Harriet progressively seeing her grief pushing her to do these actions, and at the end of her arc she sees what her decisions lead to (not that it was entirely her fault, but that her pushing through with the will to follow authority over reason lead to this dangerous situation)
While I am a little bummed about losing my favorite RWBY reactor, I am so proud and happy for you with this new opportunity. It tells me that vol 9 will be in good hands.

Jaune will be the end of Cinder.

I just realized this is a VERY big win for cinder, she took out basically everyone who was a problem for her, the only thing she lost was the maiden power
And you can't really "lose" something you never had in the first place - she failed to _become_ a double-Maiden, but she achieved pretty much everything else that she'd set out for herself since V4.
The thing with the maiden power though is that they are only of real use to Cinder herself, and a bit to Salem for the other side too not have them, but the Winter

I think that Salem not only knows that Cinder fully lied, but ultimately she doesn't care. She only wants the relics and she has them. She has Beacon locked down, and is headed to the last relic that's free, and time is the biggest ally she has. She could simply wait till the lamp is ready for a new question to get the last relic at beacon. Salem plans to kill everyone anyway, so it's no big deal to her.
Of all the things though, I just want to give a spotlight on the sheer GROWTH of Jaune. From volume 1 till now, amazing. Ozpin was right. Even at the end, he was holding off Cinder far more than ever before.
Lastly, congratulations on becoming a part of CRWBY. RT is ongoing because it's inspiring new animators like you. You are a part of the reason that RWBY is so loved and gotten so deep over the years. You were an amazing reactor, and I would still love to not see a reaction video per se, but review videos of the episodes after volume nine is done. How it all works together, what you worked on, the parts your love, etc

Huge, huge congratulations Arryn. You've been one of my favorite reactors since I first got into RWBY, and I'm sad to see your reactions go, but couldn't be happier about the reason for it. Honestly, I would still watch you do breakdowns of the episodes you've worked on, because your insights into the animation process have always been fascinating and it'd be super cool to see the "hey, I worked on this bit!" aspect. But I also understand that you'll obviously have a lot more on your plate going forward, so that may not be possible. Just know that you are a huge inspiration to us all!

I started watching you with Volume 4 and you easily became one of my favorite reactors for this series, someone whose reactions I looked forward to just as much as the episodes themselves. It has been a pleasure watching RWBY with you. But we will just have to live with the fact that you are now a part of the team making the show that we all adore. And man what a way for CRWBY to finish off a volume. This volume was the best so far....no matter how many emotions we went through. And now to wait for the soundtrack to come out and the blue rays.

Third I knew that you were a person I wanted to see grow after seeing your reaction to volume 4 chapter 2, the video that I resonated with and have watched more than any video from any creator that I follow, because in that reaction you bore your emotions for all to see and showed just how much passion you have for this series as well as how powerful writing and animation can be, something I already knew but was further reminded by seeing you cry over a moment of animation that even to this day is a scene that always makes me cry with every rewatch because of how powerful and heartwretching the moment is. When I saw that reaction and learned that you would be persuing animation I was so excited because you can see the power a work of animation can have, and knowing that I know that you will continue to do amazing things with animation and I truly cannot wait to see what work of animation you will create that will give a feeling of raw and powerful emotions that inspires others just as this animation inspired you. Finally I will conclude with that while I may greatly miss your RWBY reactions I will continue watching you and can't wait to see the great things you will continue to do in the futureand thank you for being an incredible and inspiring person and wonderful creator and animator!

As someone who just started a new job i know the feeling but you just see the goal ahead and push through and be excited for the new story.
ive said this once or twice on old vids, but, thank you for all the reacts, been watching your rwby reacts since like vol 4, ive rewatched several seasons again, ive found you to be a genuine person and haved loved your vids, through the highs and lows of the show, so as i will miss your vids for vol 9, i wish you the best of luck, not many people get to work on the thing that inspired then

Cinder used the staff to death trap Watts. The floodwaters were likely created by the energy put off by the impact of Atlas into Mantle causing a bunch of snow melting.

I think one of Qrow's lines from Volume 7 sums up my thoughts perfectly on you becoming a junior animator for RWBY Volume 9.

Seriously though, a humongous congratulations to you, you've gone from being a fan and reactor of RWBY to being a part of it's production, and I can't wait to see what you contribute to Volume 9.
So with how this all went down. I'm now more set than ever in my belief that we're 2/3 of the way through the series. This was the end of the second act, the Empire Strikes Back of RWBY. The villians have more power and resources than ever, the heroes are scattered and broken, and everything seems darker. Now how long the third act will be IDK, personally I'm thinking that it'll be 4-6 more volumes.

So reaching Vacuo at the end of V9 would check out, and the story ending proper somewhere near V12/13
