    THANK YOU! Finally one of these covers on a Ram. 90% are on Fords. I’ve been looking for 1 Ram video because the bed reinforcement beam is much more pronounced on Ram vs Fords and GM. Barricade makes a clone of the revolver but labels Ford covers as Ram covers. After 2 covers both same issue I decided on Bak.
    Oh as a courtesy I notified Barricade Off-Road of this they replied as I was stupid. I told them can’t change geometry and the Pythagorean theorem makes the rails to long on a Ram. They replied it’s a simple clamp on installation. Even after showing pictures and video that it won’t fit without major cutting.

    Last time I had a vinyl tonneau cover many years ago I found that Nu Vinyl was one of the best protective products. Each application lasted for 2-3 months rain or shine. Doesn’t give a super wet shiny appearance, it’s more subtle.

    I just finished my installation the other day. These bed liners definitely need the sharp pointy edges on the bed rails at the tailgate end. They are very sharp. All you need is small fine files and just eemove the points and the flats sharp edge.

    I just got mine. Only mine came with only rails and the cover, and misc. broken plastic pieces inside. RealTruck is sending a new one, but this is the second cover I ordered from them and the second time it didn't come with all mounting hardware.

  • @stevecaruso8199

    Just got one of these for my Chevy ZR2. Having some major complications I believe due to the trucks existing plastic rail covers. When you install make sure the rails are installed level or else the roll won’t fit and won’t operate correctly. I WISH my install were as easy as the one showed here.

    • @kafepov7112
      @kafepov7112  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the input, man. Mine had the spray on bed liner so it was pretty slim. But you’re right. I imagine the thickness of the plastic will affect fitting. Hopefully you’ll be able to get
      sorted out with vendor/manufacturer. I ordered from real truck and they were very helpful with any concerns I had.

    nice install....did you see a difference with using the thicker bulkhead seals? did you see that somewhere else? i also have a spray in from factory, and would have gone with the thinner one from the instructions. get my Rx4s next week, and maybe will go with the thicker also

    • @kafepov7112
      @kafepov7112  Год назад

      With the thicker one it was more of a snug fit. The thinner one didn't really make a tight seal, In my case anyways. Go's down to perso al preferance. I'll be posting a 1.5 year update soon.

  • @sportshot2350
    @sportshot2350 4 месяца назад

    Looks like the front of the cover has the side rail seals too long and they don’t touch the bulkhead. Did these flatten out or curl up in the long run?

    Thanks for taking the time to edit and upload this informative video; thumbs up from me ! I do have a question, how long do you think it would take to remove the center rolling section? I often load an atv in the bed of my truck and i'm pretty sure the rolled up part will effect the required clearance. I currently run a trifold 2.0 currently but this is not a flush mount and I am looking to move to a flush mount style.

      Thanks for watching, much appreciated! At the very end of the tonneau cover at the beginning of the bed it is held down by only 4 screws. It’s taken me about 5 to 8 mins to roll up and unscrew. Now, re installing it takes a little longer because you have to align it but takes me about 15 to 20 mins to re install.

    Good vide, very helpful! Have you applied the 303 UV protector to the vinyl cover portion of the top? If so did it leave streaks or blend nicely?

    • @kafepov7112

      Thanks for the feedback. I only applied it to the rubber portions on the edges and on black unpainted plastics on the truck like the mirrors. Should be fine on vinyl but I can’t testify to it.

    Since you've had this cover for about 11 months now, how has it held up in the Florida sun. Do you still like it, has the vinyl cover warped or faded. Would you recommend this cover?

    • @kafepov7112

      The vinyl has held up. Still looks great. The only con is I lost one of the end caps where the vinyl meets the tailgate on the left side. Tried to find a replacement cap but the company seems to not sell this plastic cap as of now.
