    Do you pay to ship the package to SGC? I know the shipping you pay within your order is to have the graded cards sent back to you from SGC.

      That $9 special is awesome. I just ripped a jumbo hobby with the hopes of taking advantage of the deal but I think I was given the worst hobby box in the case 😆 good luck on your submission!

    Great tutorial, thank you for all of your help! Just a quick question, when you enter your payment information into the portal is the payment taken right away? Or, will SGC charge you after they ship the cards back to your address (like PSA)?

    Thank you for this video! Best one I’ve found so far!
    Stupid question but is declared value meaning when the card is graded or what the card is worth ungraded?

    • @ortacollectibles
      @ortacollectibles  Год назад

      Thanks for the kind words TimBur! I really appreciate it 👍
      As far as the declared value, I believe it’s the value you feel the card is worth graded at the level you expect it to be graded at. I believe the grader wants this value for insurance purposes when shipping back. This value will allow the grader to provide you an estimate on the shipping charges back to you.
      If you underestimate the value, graders will generally contact you with an updated invoice to account for the error.
      This value is also important because some graders have tier systems where their prices are setup with not only turnaround time but card value. So they will sometimes charge you more for a more expensive card. I don’t know why because it’s still a card but this seems to be common across different graders.
      Hope that helps

    Did you have to pay ups?

    Very helpful video! Just have one question. Where do you get the shipping label from? Do I have to get one seperately or is there something on the sgc site for me to print one?

    • @ortacollectibles

      Glad the video was useful.
      As for your question. As for getting the shipping label, I’ve always had to go into the post office and/or ups/fedex and grab the shipping label. I don’t have a personal account with ups or fedex so maybe if you have a personal account you can generate the label online but don’t quote me on that. So you are only responsible for getting the label to send to SGC.
      Sgc will take care of shipping the cards back based on what shipping method you selected so you don’t need to provide them with a prepaid return label.
      Hope that answers your question, if not just let me know and I’ll try and be more concise.

      Question I paid for FedEx so does FedEx give me the shipping label and I don't have to put any postage on it?

    • @ortacollectibles
      @ortacollectibles  Год назад

      @@krakenhits1587 👋🏻 I hope this answers your questions but if not let me know. When it comes to shipping to SGC, you have to go to either USPS, UPS, or FedEx to send out your package. So you have to pay for the shipping to. The shipping you select within the order is the cost to have the grade card or cards sent back to you so you don’t have to worry about getting a shipping label for SGC to send it back to you. Hopefully that helps

      @@ortacollectibles I paid $30 FedEx ground through SGC. So you're telling me I have to pay more to ship them to SGC as well? How much do you think that will be to have FedEx send them to SGC? I'm only sending 8 cards

    • @ortacollectibles
      @ortacollectibles  Год назад

      @@krakenhits1587 so if I’m understanding you correctly, that $30 for ground FedEx is the cost associated with SGC sending the cards back to you. So you will need to send them the cards. Personally I use USPS just because the cost is generally a lot cheaper than FedEx and UPS. The cost is the benefit, but I would say UPS and FedEx seem to be a safer option as far as ensuring your card gets to its location and no funny business happens. I haven’t had any issues with USPS so far but I’ve heard stories. The cost to send them can vary depending on the heaviness of the package and where you are sending the cards from. I think the cost of me sending these three cards with USPS was probably $8-$12 for 3-5 day shipping. I like using the kiosk because I feel like the price is cheaper with the kiosk opposed to walking up to the window but I have no proof with that.

    the declared value part IS NOT FOR INSURANCE!!! stop saying that shit...it's a scam to be able to make you pay more on the backend

    What’s declared value?

    • @ortacollectibles
      @ortacollectibles  Год назад

      Declared Value is generally the value of your card after it has been graded. Generally you should assume the value to be what the card would sell for if you receive a 10. The reason for it is because the grading company will insure the value of the card(s) they are sending back to you and they need to know how much to insure the package for.
