I’ve submitted quite a few times lately through the PSA app. It’s nice to scan the cards and upload your order that way. I haven’t seen many videos on showing people how to submit through the app, which is not difficult at all. Great content as always Scott!!
@ no you still have to mail the cards in. They have to have the cards in hand to actually grade it. The app is just much easier to submit an order than it used to be through their website. With the app just snap a photo, pick the correct description for the card, and when all are uploaded just print out the proper forms. Then package up the cards and mail in to PSA.
What I find ludacris is PSA wanting you to give a value to your card AFTER the card has been graded when you have no clue as to the grade that they're going to give us.

It seems to me that the unfortunate problem with getting “approval” from PSA on things like putting it in the Beckett bag is that they have inconsistency with rules like that one. Just like their inconsistencies with grading. You could ask four different people at PSA and probably get four different answers. But it is a little reassuring to hear that you’ve been doing that for a while and haven’t had any issues. I just hope with their updated TOS it doesn’t get tighter because it seems that’s the way they are going.
Well just completed my first PSA experience and I won't be bothering again. Some nonsense grades and they claimed a 1 of 1 was miscut. A complete waste of time and money.

Sometimes you will need to sign up for the PSA membership and use the quarterly special to get a price to justify the lower end cards. I do agree though. Unfortunately, a lot of lower end cards don't make sense anymore. 🙁
HELPFUL INFO **** You know the peelable things you said your wife finds everywhere …? Well if you take a piece of your painters tape, pull off about 6 inches and attach it to the end of the table, or hanging down from a lamp, etc etc, you can easily get rid of those lil plastic peelables by sticking them to the tape & when it fills up just crumple up the tape & throw it away…
2:20 do they still accept toploaders for thickcards? Have some brooklyn collection cards that are about 100pt, and they sit very tight in card savers. Been looking for videos about submitting thick cards but there is no info out there.
Just submit to SGC it's so much cheaper and easier! This is a nice demonstration, however kind of reminds me of a SNL skit back in the day about a chef i forget
I haven't sent any on my own yet because it is cheaper for me to send them thru my local LCS, unless I join the Collectors Club. Plus they deal with all the logistics which is nice. I don't submit enough so far to make spending the $150 on the membership worth it. I have been considering it though, so this video is very helpful.
Great video. I honestly never use the card board. I use team bags and label them then pack in box. I send 30 plus so card board is challenging. Is it required or recommended? Also psa copy is two page when you have larger submissions. Lastly I use the App to scan the cards and enter not the desktop. It’s really easy to scan as I go so I don’t order them based on anything else.

If you have a PSA paid account, are you allowed to have a card or cards shipped to a different address then your home? Like say you want it shipped back to a family member because maybe you will be out of town in the time-frame the cards would be shipped back.??

Try it on your own. There are some great group submitting companies out there, but no one will handle your card like you will and the piece of mind watching each step on the app will avoid reaching out to your group submission company. If you are on the fence on grading, try it with 1 to 5 cards in a small order.
Does the perfect fit psa sleeves work as well? Im in the process of sending a submission. So just wondering because it would nice to have psa sleeves because that is what we are getting back.

Great video Scottie! I recently bought their yearly subscribtion, and I'm ready to submit quite a few cards, but I have 2 questions. Can you submit cards from multiple sports (i.e. basketball and baseball), or do they need to be submitted as just one sport per submission. I have one question about how would you submit different tier submissions on the same shipment I.e 20 sports cards on the up to $500 tier and 2 sports cards on the $1,500 one since potentially will grade well and have a higher end value. Would this mean that you end up with two forms and two different barcodes? If so I guess that you just need to wrap around each respective form to its respective bundle of cards but not sure about how to stick the potential two different barcodes to the box? Thanks again :)
Definitely cheaper. I personally do not love the look of the slab, but I know a lot of people prefer them. PSA is just nice since it is the industry standard. Thanks for watching!

Great video!! I got a 1996 Flair Kobe rookie… brought to a card show and lot of the sellers said it for sure is a 9 and could be a 10… a 10 is worth $2,000 all day so what service level do I do? The up to $2500 one? Seems like if I choose lower they will just give me a 9 vs an up charge..very hesitant to send my cards in for grading for fear they get stolen or lost in the mail! USPS is not who you want to use…fedex or ups have way better employees/care .. (I worked for UPS for a bit) Your help would be much appreciated..

Hey Jake! That choice is 100% up to you and your risk appetite. There is a chance you send it at the $24.99 tier and are not hit with an up charge and save a lot of money, but there is also a risk that you send it in for the $24.99 tier, it takes a longer than the 74.99 submission level, and you are still hit with an up charge. It may be worth the risk, but only if you are okay with the chance of the up charge. Let me know what you decide!
I presume this was made before GameStop started offering its PSA service, how would would that factor in to the process? The prices certainly seem cheaper at first glance...
@mr.thammisses6119 they're merely the middle man, they just facilitate sending it to PSA. GameStop has no input on the actual grading, the most they do is buy an sell the cards once they return from PSA.
You guys think THIS is intimidating? ... You should have tried this 10 years ago, using an overcomplicated online PDF. It was BRUTAL !!! Quite literally nearly impossible. This is a cakewalk compared to that mess. We used to put our stuff in a box, using top loaders, magnetic loaders, screw downs, etc. Whatever it was in ... that is how we shipped it. Lol. Now, they've got us doing their work for them; using only card savers, which saves them time, and they're charging us three times the amount. We are saving them tons of work, and they're charging us triple. Shrinkflation has even hit PSA. That said ... "progress is expensive". However, I digress .... Need all the big sports card social media influencers to start grading with other grading companies so the average joes aren’t forced to pay an arm and a leg to run the risk of getting an 8-9 back
I also hate them, they stick to your fingers somehow where you can’t get them off your hands it’s truly maddening, so using a piece of tape to stop them from getting stuck on everything & to easily collect them/trash them, the painters tape is essential
i am done with psa. they are so arbitrary with their grading and don't have the reasons behind their grades. if the grading was honest they would provide the specifications.

The problem is you can’t send in a banger either, because PSA will give you a 9 and turn a $400 card into a $50 card

I have ultra pro versions of the card savers, are these good too? they seem super tight and hard to get the cards in and out

I also find the two finger make-up remover pads to work much better than microfibers, but to each their own of course

I understand there's a market value difference between PSA and SGC. I use SGC almost exclusively. Cheaper, easier and excellent customer service.

Nope! As long as you send it, they will scan the QR code when it arrives and let you know via email that they received it.

How can I who live in the Caribbean get my cards graded?

I had to edit out 3-5 seconds of me trying to get it off of my fingers. Not kidding! I am glad I am not the only one who hates them haha

You should use a tab on the penny sleeve to make it easier for them to remove from the card saver.
