    Amon Carter that the stadium is named after was a big newspaper publisher in the first half of the 20th century. He was played by Treat Williams in the movie 12 Might Orphans if you've ever seen that.
    That circle is called Founders Plaza. Its the guys who donated the $$ for the stadium. Most of them big oil money. The Addison Clark was one of the founders of TCU. The big donor didn't really want something to honor him, so he had the school put up a monument to Addison Clark.

    Addison Clark was one of the founders of the college. The original name of the campus, which was in Waco, was “Add-Ran Male and Female College”
    TCU’s history of how the college came to be is actually kinda interesting

    Fun fact: behind those club seats above the TCU team entrance is the locker room. I was fortunate to go to the locker room
