Peeters is actually in the best form she's ever been. Last year she ran 52.94 at Indoor Nationals, which was her PB, this time she ran 52.0 twice, so almost a second improvement. I believe Saalberg had a little setback in her preparation, but Olympics are still far out and I'm sure she'll be on her usual level in Paris if she stays healthy.
Peeters is certainly improving. In last year's final she ran 53.11 and this year 52.08. If she manages to control her upper body more, she can surely run under 52.00 seconds soon. BTW, the girl who became fifth is only 16 years young. I am curious what her time will be in 3 years, because she is talented.

This is the second time I've watched a race with Klaver and thought it was Abby Steiner ... lol. Especially when she's running. But Damn.... Bol just keeps improving, I wish she would focus on the flat 400m outdoors at least one season. I think she'd win Gold IMO. I know she loves the hurdles, and is incredible no doubt but I think this may actually be her stronger event? 2 World Records.... C'MON Bol, the 400m is calling your name.
@willstuart4504 Femke has said over and over she is a hurdler, she uses the 400 flat and sometimes 200 for speed and strength, for Paris anyway she is doing the hurdles and relays.
@@mstrunn I know... I've heard her say that, I guess I'm just hoping that with each WR she breaks in the flat she'll start at least considering the idea of giving the 400m 1 season ?? Probably won't happen... I think HER biggest motivation is to actually BEAT Sydney in the Hurdles. I think that's the goal she's set for herself, which in all likelihood would break the WR. Do I believe she will ever beat Sydney?? 🤔 Yikes, Idk..... I think winning Gold for the 400m flat would be EASIER... Lol, then beating Sydney. That girl is not human. I've watched her last WR race so many times and the LEAD she has on everybody, including the great Femke Bol, is Ridiculous. Sydney Mclaughlin hardly competed last year. She had only one Diamond League appearance where they were expecting her to put on a show that would make world headlines but she finished second. Shes seems to be under pressure. Let's see what she does at the Olympics.

I think the biggest difference between Femke and Lieke is the body type.
This girl is truly spectacular, and she keeps getting better and faster. I believe, she is well on her way to become the greatest of all time.
Finesse and technique generally beats power.
She has it all.

Klaver is also getting better. In the past she always lose momentum in the last 50m but she has now improved her stamina.
