Loved your statement about practice. As a musician, my teacher told me "Practice does not make perfect. Correct practice, if practiced often enough, allowes you to approach perfection". Great video.
This was actually an informative vedeo... I've been too afraid of getting in over my head removing my faring, but after watching this video I feel completely comfortable in doing so with changing out the old stock headlamp (00 ultra classic) with a new Day-Maker setup, as well as replacing the stock HD cassette player stereo with the "Plug & Play" aquatic stereo. Thank you 😎👍
…BTW, your approach is exactly the same as an anatomy & physiology professor going through a cadaver, or as a good teaching surgeon in the operating room. 👍
Great video! You are the man very professional now I have a good idea at what in getting myself into👍might as well put new stereo and bars on while I'm into the iron horse this deep! Thanks bud🤘

Any chance you will be coming out with a inner fairing removal video covering gauges and cluster removal? I have been looking to get my inner fairing painted and can not find a video of this anywhere..
thanks. local shop had my fairing on and off several times replacing radio and installing my Garmin Zumo 655 LM GPS. turns out the Garmin branded Zumo (sound) does not work through the Harley radio - even with a $100+ wire bundle workaround that installs under the fairing. in the process of r&r the fairing it seems the mechanic stripped one of the fasteners. now I have a chitty chitty bang bang - rattle that keeps loosening my windshield fasteners. Looks like I will need a new fairing.
Hi Peter, Depends on the fastener, You can replace or repair. www.fixmyhog.com/video/harley-fairing-bracket-removal-replacement-004322/ and www.fixmyhog.com/video/loctite-epoxy-mixer-cups-and-fairing-repair-005043/

Can you remove the radio and speakers to save weight without any idiot lights coming on or problems? I have a Streetglide so already lighter front end, seems like it would be a big difference in front end feel.
You should be able to eliminate your radio. However, you may run into issues on newer models with CAN BUS electrical system. +Shawn Marques Unfortunately, we will not have a video that covers this until late spring. Would suggest following the steps in your service manual. Also, make sure you replace, not only your seals, but also your upper and lower bushings @ this time. Everything you need is sold, complete, in a kit offered by James Gaskets.
Hi Lonnie. Unfortunately, we do not have a video that covers that install. If you have any questions as you attempt the installation, please forward them to us. We will do our best to help. www.fixmyhog.com/videos/electrical/ www.fixmyhog.com/video/circuits-002183/
Great Video, Im looking to paint my inner fairing, Is there a part 2 where you remove guages etc all the way to removal of inner fairing. Thanks for your knowledge.
I have a 2009 electric glide classic, and every so often the bike will go into the ecm mode which is to say no power, or as they say in the owners manual "limp mode" . I have pulled the codes up and found P1511, P2176, P2135. and U1040. I can restart the bike after 5 minutes or so but the problem still crops up . My question is do I have to replace the ECM throttle sensor, and if so is there a video on how to accomplish this task. I am retired so money is a problem.
+Phil Allen We searched your codes. This may be a difficult problem to diagnose. Inspect your ECM plug. Make sure there are not any pins that are pushed back into the plug. Also make sure there is no corrosion. Plug back in, securely, with dielectric grease. If this issue persists you will need to have the dealer plug in to their Digital Technician. Have them verify if the ECM is bad, or if its somthing else. If the ECM is bad; the dealer will have to "marry" the new ECM to your m/c. Wish we could be of more help.
yeah ive got to rebuild my forks and the inner fairing is gonne be a whole new area for me...well the whole fairing is gonna be a firstime experience...dont know how itsa gonna go but i cant afford to have someone else do it for me.
Great video! Thank you, good clear voice and straightforward. I can't believe the pansies below who complain about the tone of your voice or the delicate little flower who is so fragile she believes you're "talking down". You're giving instructions for crying out loud. What should you do??? Whisper and cajole to us and hope snowflakes don't get annoyed. It's truly incredible how sensitive today's generation is that they feel a need to let everyone know how itchy their ass is that literally the unique sound of someone's voice had to be criticized to make them feel better about themselves. Maybe a Bob Ross video to learn how to paint trees is more their speed. (And I'm not dissing Bob. That guy was cool! He certainly would not have bitched about someone's voice.)ruclips.net/video/B5Wo1ubuzAE/видео.html
I'd like to see a better way to remove and install the radio. What a poor design. The holes in the brackets do not allow a straight shoot for your tool. May need to enlarge the bracket holes if you dare.
Dude do a video and you will know the time and effort it take to make one. Can't saying thing good don't say anything. You aren't paying so dont have a right to judge either.
This is a great “ done in real time,” “no unnecessary frills” video! Very professional. Great job!
Loved your statement about practice. As a musician, my teacher told me "Practice does not make perfect. Correct practice, if practiced often enough, allowes you to approach perfection".
Great video.
Thanks so much for the remarks!
Excellent across the board. Your accent and inflection are so great! Fun (a little funny) and informative. Thanks.
