The elite marathon life is like Formula One racing. Breakdowns are expected. Our victory comes from the inspiration you provide us.
Running is an actual sport, tho.
@@MaQuGo119 Have you checked Ayrton Senna’s training regime?
Thanks, it is! 🙏❤️🏃
Being great doesn’t always mean to win. It means to overcome obstacles, it means to stand up when you’re fallen down. You do that. That just shows great personality
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it 🙏🏃
Don't worry about that race in Berlin more improvements ahead of you, you are a great runner South Africa loves you❤
Thanks so much for the support and motivation! I really appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for being honest and vulnerable. Seeing the failures along with the successes makes talented runner like you more relatable. More runners need to be honest like you. Keep doing what you’re doing, champ!
Thanks so much! Yes, the failures are a very important part of success! 🙏
Luis, I watch your videos ALL the time, they literally get me out the door and on a run. The inspiration you give my family and me cannot be repaid! Keep it going and NEVER give up!
That's awesome! Thanks for the love and support! 🙏🙏🙏
We love your content, honestly, and transparency, Luis! You have our full admiration and support. I'm so excited for your future! Keep going, my friend!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it 🙏
The same thing happened to me this week. In the u18 5k race, my projected time was 1 minute better than the winner's and I definitely could have done it, but I injured my knee during the race because I was overloading in my race training. Now everyone thinks I'm an amateur. It's a terrible feeling.
😥 So sorry to hear that my friend! Hope your recovery goes well! 🙏❤️🏃
I dropped out of a 1/2 marathon last April, and was really sad. But after the injury was gone, i started training again, and crushed my 1/2 marathon pr in Amsterdam last month, with 3min and 25 seconds.. let’s hope you can do the same on your next marathon 😉👍🏻🏃🏻♂️.
Nice one dude! 💪💪💪 Thanks for sharing and for the motivation! 🙏❤️
Listen to your mind body connection, Lesson Learned . Thanks 👍
🙏
It always sucks when something happens that you have no idea why or how it happened, but it's much better than getting injured! Would love to see you link up with other creators in the running space!
Definitely better that getting injured! 🙏 Sounds like a good idea, maybe in the future will happen!
Good luck to you, honestly, you are world champions, great training
Thanks so much, I appreciate it. 🏃🙏
You are so inspiring! No doubt you will reach your running goals next year, Luis. I look forward to your videos all the time to help my own training, so please keep it coming!
Thanks so much! Comments like this give me strength to continue. 🙏💪🏃
I do not agree with quitting but at your level I completely understand! Quitting on a bad day means that it is possible to recover in time for another Marathon! Keep grinding, the 2:13 will happen
Thanks! 🙏🏃
Thanks for clarifying what happened in Berlin. DNFs happen and it is understandable. Anyone can have an off day at any time. Out of curiosity, what shoes did you wear in Berlin and what shoes did you wear when you set your Marathon PB?
Appreciate the transparency. In all honesty though, I think it comes off a bit insulting to justify a dnf because you are "fast." Sure on a perfect day, perfect weather, perfect fueling, when the stars align, everyone can be fast relative to their capabilities. No matter how fast you run you have to grind the tough times just like anyone else. Keep at it man!
It's the "Hammer and Nail" effect - Some days you are the hammer and some days you are the nail. The sign of a true professional is listening to your gut, knowing that you are the nail. Mucho respeto!
Sometimes quitting in the right time is an investment for future success. Love your content, keep doing what you're doing and the victory shall be yours. You are an inspiration! Greetings from Turkey :)
Thanks so much! Cheers! 💪🏃
Learning experiences all around! It takes guts to recognize success and not so good experiences and even more to put it into social media. Keep it up Luis…
Thanks for sharing high quality content with us.
Luis you are a real sunshine in running! I really fallen in love with your series in Kenya showing your effort and passion, I would like to be in your camp one day. Regarding your race in Berlin I was very interested on your performance, since you made us some expectation on it and yes it didn't worked, you quit the race, but trying to do your best in order to keep a woman world record which is insane anyway! Looking at your videos I decided to do a marathon too it took me a year of prep and on 10th Dec I will try to complete it, hopefully under 3hrs. Don't worry, live itself is an up and down, what matters is if you skip fighting when facing difficulties, and you are a kind of guy putting so much work that you are an example for a lot of us. Thank you for all and good luck! 🤞💪💪💪
Thanks, thanks so much Bartolome, for the kind and motivating words. And so happy to hear that you are going for a marathon this December! Let me now how it goes. Wishing you all the luck! 💪🏃
Durante el tiempo que te he seguido, nos has demostrado actitud y mentalidad a nivel elite una y otra vez. Comeback stronger and get that PR!

Thanks so much! Always glad to be back! ❤️❤️❤️
Haha es así! 💪🏃 Muchas gracias por el apoyo! 🙏
Love from Nepal 🇳🇵
❤️❤️❤️
❤❤
Sir, imagine if Kipchoge worked 40hours a week. That does not go well with running. Unfortunately you have to choose which one is your priority.
Yeah its very hard to balance work and training, but I have to 🙏❤️
I love all your video. I want to train with you some day . Love from Nepal 🇳🇵 🇳🇵😊😊.
thanks, you are welcome anytime! ❤️🏃
Hey man . Any advice on how to get back to running after disc bulges . ? , would be grateful
dont come back go swimming instead
@@marioglory8528 would you be able to guide me more .
@@marioglory8528 did you face something similar .
I would suggest to go see your PT or doctor, once they clear you I usually start my athletes very slow with 15 minute runs, then 20, then 30 and if you can mix it with aquajog it would be even better! Def take your time and feel your body, don't rush into it, good luck!
But you have try your best to compete in that marathon you never know what's happened next in running if you are practicing everyday still running needs more and more perfection and alot of myths and mysterious to be solved for us still we are not elite runner like Keynes and euthopians but at the end what God do best for us keep inspiring us keep running its a way of life.... stay blessed
Thanks! 🙏
¿Por qué es tan difícil correr en el frío? 😭😭
