So stoked to see a new video, always gets me inspired to try new things out on the kit! Love the no nonsense jump right into the different beats at different speeds. Really helps a beginner drummer like me break down all the components and then get ready to blast 'em! Cheers!
Tommy! You’re back yay! Thanks again for sending me a sticker of the (best) pretty cool drum show way back when you first started the channel. Can’t wait to finally see Gouge Away live when you come to Los Angeles
Cool stuff!! Thanks a lot for your videos. I started playing drums quite recently, and many of your videos were really helpful for me while getting into hardcore punk drumming. Good luck!
Thomas dude!! I was listening to Angel dust and saw you playing drums for them!! Dude congrats!!! Turnstile and angel dust have been such a breath of fresh air for the hardcore scene! I realised turnstile sound so good cause they use Latin drum grooves! And you killed it on tour! Looking forward to what you guys produce man! (Love the new single). Also I’ve been learning d-beat grooves - very cool for after or before breakdowns
Hey man! Your channel really helped me to startout and i learned a lot from you. I have my first presentation in a few days and is my drum cover. I sent my practice recordings to a lot of musicians and they all think it's fine and even I think it looks good but my drum teacher said it's not good and it made me real insecure, do you have any tip to deal with that? I have been practicing like crazy but his perfectionism is exausthing me considering i started out to have fun and improve daily.
Hello, I was wondering if you have any tips to separate my foot from my hand. By that I mean when I play with my kick, I can’t seem to kick without unconsciously using my hand aswell. So when I kick twice, I hit my Hihat twice when I only mean to hit it once. If I ever have a bass drum on the & of a beat, I end up hitting whatever my pacing cymbal is and it sound janky. Any tips?
I can’t wait to learn these and show off to my girlfriends little brother
this is equal parts funny and wholesome lol
Fuck I'm so glad you're back! Best drum channel on YT hands down

You should do a post-punk version of this! Would be cool to see the variance.
Another great episode. Thanks for keeping on!

Thank you for the lessons, you’d make a great drum teacher!

Hey Thommy, I love the sound of your cymbal set
I know they are Zildjian, but what are a those (new beats, k dark crash) ?
what sides are they ?
Especially the ride
Theyre all Zildjian Ks! 24” light ride, sweet crash, dark thin crash, and light hi hats 🧢 ❤
Fucking goodddd
what are you using to change the song tempos for playback? an app like moises or just adjusting playback speed on youtube or something?
I’m using the app Gap Click for a metronome
@@PrettyCoolDrumShow ah ok, so you're not doing any playback, just grooves from memory?
Paper cuts is the most underrated nirvana song

Ahem… first 👀
