Tent could make skull cavern runs easier by staying overnight in the desert
Start earlier than before, not by much but enough to make it worth it! Definitely gotta try this out asap, especially with the new treasures on certain floors!!!
Desert warp totem works the same.

The desert festival looks like the most fun one in the game now! ❤
The Trout Derby actually has 11 rewards. There's the one time Tent kit, and then a repeating list of 10 items. The start point on the list is random, but after the first one it will always go in the same order. This includes the rewards mentioned, but also diamonds, crab pots, farm warp totems, mystery boxes, and more.
SquidFest just tracks catches, you don't turn in anything. The tier also doesn't require that quality of squid to be caught, it is just amount. The rewards and amount requirement for each tier are set by the day. You can get the book by reaching iridium tier on either day, but you can only get the book once. On subsequent iridium tier rewards,it is replaced by seafoam pudding and mystery boxes.
The Green Rain didn't do much because you had already decorated everywhere. It causes new weeds, trees, and vines to spawn in empty spaces. These cannot overwrite grass, decorations, and debris though. Grown trees will temporarily change into Wild Trees, but will change back the following day.
The Desert Festival is massive. There are actually 5-6 different racers that are chosen from each day. My favorite is Cactus Crawler, the rock crab with a cactus fruit shell. The bachelors and bachelorettes sell their unique items at their booths, including the previously unobtainable weapons. In particular, Penny sells both pieces of furniture she'd previously make people choose between for her room redecoration.

Hey Sharky. According to the wiki, the Calico eggs disappear once you leave the desert. You aren't able to keep them.
'It is not possible to take the remaining Calico Eggs to the next day, as they disappear once the player leaves the Desert for the day.'
i wonder if that issue could be remedied by using a tent kit to just stay? or if it won’t let you bc the festival is ongoing

Thank you!! The Desert Festival is more like the Harvest Festival in the Fall with all the mini games. Winter Night Market is more for buying stuffs, even the Fishing from the Sub is something you buy with Gold. Because this (and the Harvest Festival) uses an Event Money, that is the difference.

Does the desert event get rid of any trees/decor you mightve set up?
I'm assuming it uses a different map like other festivals. It has to. CA surely knows that people have filled the desert with various things.
There is a new tea called stardrop tea! Don't know how to make it yet but you do need a keg.
Pretty sure it's not reproduceable because it gives a full heart to anybody you gift it to, and if you have multiple you can give as many as you want because they don't count as weekly gifts. Only place I've seen it is from Lewis' prize machine, and it's not even on the shipping log. I did some duping just to test it out, thinking it was just a universally loved item and gave one to Elliot, who had zero hearts. It brought him up to 1 heart with unique dialogue, so I thought "Why not? It won't work" and immediately gave him a second one. I got him up to full friendship in 1 day. Granted, you'd need an exorbitant amount of tickets to do that legitimately, but judging by that I don't think you can actually make it yourself.

Oh the racing part reminds me of the Chrono Trigger race in the Millennial fair, where four mobs race around a fountain and you can bet on which one wins ;)

The frogs are actually pets that follow you around,there is also a parrot too.🙂

Not really,I only found out because a brazilian streamer used a mod that gives you access to all items in the game to see the new items and she found a parrot egg and a frog egg

Really? We tend to get more tornadoes during the Spring and Autumn in my state. Mainly because it's just too dang hot in the summer for them to form, usually, I think.

The desert festival reminds me of Chrono Trigger, especially the chicken snail boot race. And it is great.
I started a whole new save, and I changed my bobber to the blue/red one. But one new thing I found was the River jelly. It made me so excited

With SquidFest you don’t need to catch a certain quality of squid to get the iridium prize you just need to catch 10 squid

I was playing and Used a farming hoe to Get some of the worms out of the ground and I got carrot seeds!
When fishing as normal when testing my bamboo rod I fished up jellyfish plasma and it give +1 fishing

You forgot to mention that in trout derby, there's also a chance to get mystery boxes! I got 3 of them when i traded the gold ticket thingy, and basically received 2 warp totems (mountain and farm) and 2 iridium ores.

It's not slime rain, it's literally just called Green Rain and it helps get moss easier. According to the wiki

Yep. Waterfalls were added this patch, as well as rainbows and their loot.

I would try the original first and then you can try the expanded mod once you're familiar with the original

well the new festival is good one , but i still prefer to play 1.5 ver with mods i gonna upgrade to 1.6 if all my installed mod already compatible with 1.6
