Nice job, Magdad! Appreciate your time and effort. I've been using Hoppes #9 for over 50 years. Great stuff. And what kind of maniac doesn't like the smell of good ole' #9. 😉
I remember several years ago some kid on youtube built a brine mister box to test a variety of products to see which was best at preventing rust on bolts. The Eezox was the winner. Since I have a damp, unheated workshop, I bought a large tin of the Eezox, put it in a pneumatic sprayer, and have misted all my steel tools spring and fall. The result has been minimal rust on a few Chinese carbon steel chisels, and no rust on anything else (except a pair of vice-grips that I must have spilled acid or something on). In my experience it's way better than WD40 for rust.
What a nice review. I read one comment that believes the EEZOX is a better rust prohibitor that WD-40. I added this to my 357magdad list. Happy New Year!
Nice honest product review Mr Magdad Short videos or long videos are always fun to watch and you learn a few tips here and there Hey take care looking forward to Sunday's video
Happy New Year Magdad! I like your reviews and I just bought some Lucas CLP. Looks like I need to buy some Hoppes #9 as well.🤔 Thanks for the video! 👏🇺🇸
Scoutcrafter says hello. I own no precision instruments. These days I use ATF for my cleaner and Mobil synthetic for my oiling needs. Cheap, plentiful and effective. Maybe sometimes I hit it with the old 50/50. Don't be stingy with the 50/50! Subbed.
@@357magdad I recommended Eezox to Scoutcrafter. He said he was aware of it but had not tried it. Since he uses different things to preserve his tools, I thought he should try it. I found it reduces fingerprints from showing on blued steel. BTW, I never miss your videos.
Thanks I checked further and found that in fact all of these products are available here but only in the VERY few shops that cater to licensed firearms owners..these products are for use on weapons only..Given that..they are therefore unknown to 90% of the population...I must have misunderstood / misheard you thought you said GUNK removal..WD40 is on sale to general public howevet...Keep up the good restoration work i enjoy your channel good well spoken voiceover
Looked a fun experiment. Biggest problem I have is with black powder, man that stuff is nasty. I enjoy my replica black powder revolver but its very time consuming to clean.
358MD, if you have spent anytime around my channel, you know i am a Knife Tuber!!! I have watched you for years, on Scoutcrafter's recommendation!!! I am not in a advise position here, i just believe that your knife restoration are fantastic!!! So, i would suggest to You, to do more Knife videos!!! Can't hurt!!! You will have my complete support!!! Happy New Year!!! 🗡️🔪👍🔥💯💣

LoL, that ScoutCrafter has a far reaching effect on everyone.
They even make Hoppes air fresheners! I added a link to them in the description.

I miss your CLP reviews against Hoppes # 9. I hope you will start doing more of these in 2025. Happy New Year!!
Thanks for watching! I got another one coming up soon - stay tuned!

Just about all of the CLP's I've tested do a good job protecting against rust.
@@357magdad 🤓👍
As expected, Hoppes rules! It's a Firearms cleaner. It's a Cologne. Thanks Magdad!
They even make a Hoppes No. 9 air freshener! (link in description)
@@357magdad Perfect!
Good comprehensive experiment! reminds me of a Project Farm comparison/test!
Thanks the info and happy New Year!
Thanks! Happy New Year!
I still use NO. 9 and have used other forms of clp after the cleaning. Good honest review and that is what is needed these days..
Thanks! I use No 9 for the barrel and cylinder and one of the CLP's for everything else.
I always appreciate your honesty in your comparisons!
Thanks Steve!

I've liked your product reviews. The only word that comes to mind is unbiased. You give a fair review and comparison; thank you for that.
Thanks! I try to make my tests simple and repeatable.
Thanks Magdad, your reviews are always fair and thorough ! Happy New Year !
Thanks Andy! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Very fair, common sense test. I'm always on the lookout for new cleaners and lubes, and appreciate your testing work. Thanks and happy new year.
Thanks Pat!

Great test…. Just the smell of Hoppe’s #9 is worthy of my loyalty. 😃👍
Thanks ScoutCrafter! They even make Hoppes No. 9 air fresheners!
Nice video. Happy New Year.
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Thanks for your careful review. Very fair and helpful.
You're welcome Larry!
I have always just used Hoppes #9, I appreciate the comparison. Have a good day Magdad
Thanks Michael! So do I!
I don't use eezox for cleaning, but as an application to the outer metal parts of my guns and tools for rust prevention.
Thanks for watching Paul! My experience is the "one product" "all in one" CLP's don't clean as well as a dedicated solvent.

I've been using Hoppe's #9 since I was a kid. Hard to beat an original.
It is hard to beat Hoppes No. 9!
Thanks for the review

Thanks for the video. I always use Hoppes.
Hard to go wrong with Hoppes #9 Mike!
Great review Magdad! Thanks for saving me some money!

I like the smell of it, but I prefer g96 over it, even over gun butter!

Many black powder enthusiasts like mixing Ballistol with water to clean their black powder guns.
@ Ive not tried that. I do use soapy water and then load it up with bore butter afterward.
I USE CLENZOIL

I guess my Ole go to : Hoppes and rem oil are still the best.
I like Rem oil for pocket knives. I haven't settled on a favorite oil for my GP100 yet.
@357magdad a gunsmith I know likes fishing reel oil .? Haven't tried it myself yet
